Did you know that individuals caring for other
families’ children, more than 10 hours a week on a
regular basis in on-base quarters, must be licensed
by the installation commander?
The exceptions are:
1. Individuals who occasionally provide care for a friend or
neighbor.
2. Teenagers doing evening or weekend babysitting for
families in their parent’s home.
3. Care provided in the parent’s home.
4. Parent cooperatives where one of the parents provides

Greetings, as the 460 FSS Director I am in awe of the amazing
job our squadron does for the Buckley Community.
The 460 FSS has excellent resources and programs for every stage
of life and I would like to better acquaint you with them.
Each month I will select a position or program for the Director’s Spotlight.
460FSS Director
Mr. Woolley
This month the focus is on SSgt Diana Fishman of the Honor Guard.
Staff Sergeant Fishman serves as the Mile High Honor Guard Assistant
Flight Chief, 460th Force Support Squadron, Buckley Air Force Base,
Colorado. She supervises two Air National Guardsmen
and an average of 25 Active Duty Airmen.
Professional Profile:
Rank, Name SSgt Diana Fishman
Hometown: Aurelia, Iowa
Year of AF service: 6 years
Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Honor Guard Member of the
year throughout the Air Force for 2013
What does being an Honor Guard member mean to you?
The past two years I have been on Honor Guard has been such a rewarding and
humbling experience. Our team performs Military Funeral Honors with perfection,
dignity, and professionalism as this may be the last image the family of the fallen will
have of the Air Force. This has definitely been my favorite job in my professional
career thus far!
What motivates you?
I enjoy going out of my comfort level to challenge myself and learn and grow as an individual. Whenever
I make mistakes, I always try to use it as a learning tool rather than dwell on my faults. In addition,
constructive criticism from leadership is something I am always open to, as it motivates me to become a
stronger leader and a better person.
How can people learn more or show their support for the honor guard?
E-1 through E-6 are welcome to join the Honor Guard with permission from their commander. This is highly
encouraged as Honor Guard bullets will be an excellent addition to an EPR, and will be a definite advantage
to those going against a board for BTZ. Airmen may also have the opportunity to receive an achievement
medal, which will benefit those advancing to higher ranks. Furthermore, Officers are also encouraged to
volunteer as an OIC to present the flag to the next of kin during a service of a deceased Officer.
The Mile High Honor Guard is located in building 1005 and can be reached at 720-847-6668.
