CONFIRMATION OF ROAD CLOSURE
FINAL NOTICE – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Dear Resident
Club Targa NZ wishes to thank the residents and all the local groups for their
support. Club Targa has been granted a legally sanctioned temporary road
closure by Local Council/s for the running of this Targa NZ 2014 Motorsport Event on
the roads listed below. We ask that you please abide by this notice. Vehicles will
start and flow in the directions listed below.

Note: To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 50 metres of EACH
adjoining road, from where it intersects within this road closure.
We kindly ask that you please inform all run off users and Landlords where applicable.

On the day local Taping Crews will tape gates, roads and driveways. This is a Governing
Body requirement and will take part prior the road closure commencement.
You will still be able to exit your property prior to the start of the road closure time but no
later. If you have to lower tape prior to road closure we would appreciate if you could
put the tape back in place. Please be aware that there will be vehicles travelling the
closed roads at high speed once the road closure is in effect.
Targa official safety cars with flashing lights and sirens will travel the closed road to ensure
the road is secure and safe. No other forms of traffic may use the road during the official
road closure times without the consent of the Organisers.
The event may finish earlier than the road closure approval time. A “Sweep” vehicle with
flashing lights and siren will re-open the road for normal use, then the tape will be
removed shortly after. Please advise any visitors and commercial operators of this road
closure so alternative arrangements can be made.
When spectating please always stand in a safe place, supervise your children and listen
to the Marshals instructions.
St. John medical personal attend every stage. The Targa Event is co-ordinated via an
extensive radio network and in the case of an unexpected emergency please do not
enter the closed road, contact the: Targa Emergency Number 0800 827 427

Targa Event that you feel should be reported, please contact us.
