The following was written by Magggie Twaddle, the Schoolgen Team Leader at Genesis Energy. Our new GM of Retail David Goadby visited Bayswater School which is our leading Schoolgen School in Auckland. The students presented to him and his guests all about the special things they had learnt as a Schoolgen school. Former students who are now in Year 7 and 8 returned to their former school to impress and show off what a difference the Schoolgen programme had made to their lives. Monitoring the solar generation and the electricity use in the school was a great learning experience. They love the Schoolgen books and are pictured here singing the song from the latest Schoolgen reader ‘Tui Sings the Sun Song.’ Jasper shared how the Schoolgen website shows us how much power we are generating through the solar panels. Towards the end of the year the team will calculate the savings we have made over the year.
