P.6 THE 13th GAS INFORMATION EXCHANGE FOR THE WESTERN PACIFIC ADVANCING THE GAS VALUE CHAIN ACCESS TO THE VENUE: 2) By Land (a) Airport Express / Mass Transit Railway (MTR) The in-venue AsiaWorld-Expo station, a station on the Airport Express Line, provides convenient access to all train services on the MTR network. Airport Express, the dedicated link between AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong International Airport and downtown, provides the most direct and convenient link to and from AsiaWorld-Expo. The train ride between the Airport Station and AsiaWorld-Expo Station only takes 1 minute. The connection from Central to AsiaWorld-Expo is 28 minutes and totally weatherproofed. Discounted and favourable fares are offered by the Mass Transit Railway Corporation Limited to passengers travelling to and from AsiaWorld-Expo Station. What's more, Airport Express passengers can enjoy free in-town check-in service at the Hong Kong and Kowloon stations. Free shuttle bus service is also available to connect Airport Express stations and major hotels plus key transport interchanges. During peak hours, the train service (including a combination of Airport Express and MTR trains) will provide a maximum capacity of around 10,000 passengers per hour with trains running at approximately 7-minute intervals. During off-peak hours, the Airport Express trains run at 12-minute intervals with a maximum capacity of around 3,500 passengers per hour. Airport Express trains are in service daily from 05:50 to 00:45. MTR fares are listed below for reference. (Fares are subject to change by Mass Transit Railway Corporation without prior notice). Octopus cardholders will also enjoy wavier of MTR interchange connections. (b) Local Bus The integrated road network gives speedy access into Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories. Some major franchised bus routes serving the Hong Kong International Airport from various districts of Hong Kong are also extended to the AsiaWorld-Expo, including a feeder service planned between Tung Chung MTR Station and AsiaWorld-Expo.Chartered buses are also available for providing point-to-point easy land access to key locations in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. (c) Tung Chung Express Bus (X1) Another convenient way to arrive at AsiaWorld-Expo is to take the MTR to Tung Chung Station then connect with the Express Bus (X1) provided by the 2 Franchised Bus Companies with the operation of AsiaWorld-Expo. The service runs during designated hours at approx. 15-30 mins interval to and from AsiaWorld-Expo. The drop off point at AsiaWorld-Expo is just next to the event venue. (d) Point-to-point Express Franchised Bus The Company co-operated with bus companies to operate Express Franchised Bus Service*(The service is subject to availability and prior arrangement with the Bus Companies) for concerts, large scale conferences and public exhibitions participants from Tsim Sha Tsui (X21 Express) and Tai Wai (X48 Express) and price at $22 and $26.2 respectively. Approximate 28 minutes can reach AsiaWorld-Expo from there. (e) Cross Boundary Bus Our exclusive cross boundary bus partners and the future HK-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge will provide additional easy land access to and from the Mainland and Macao. (f)Walking Footpath AsiaWorld-Expo is within minutes’ walking distance from the Airport and the SkyPlaza. (g) Private Car Driving to AsiaWorld-Expo is easy. Ample car parking spaces (over 1,000) are available adjacent to the venue for private car drivers. (h) Taxi A taxi stand is located near the East Entrance of the Centre. The Centre is served by both urban and Lantau taxis. Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICT Services) Hirer Details Rates Effective: 1 July 2013 – 30 June 201 P.27 FORM - G Remarks: 1. All orders must be attached with a drawing indicating the exact location of the services required. 2. All rates are applicable for services up to the whole exhibition period with a maximum duration of 10 days. 3. Telephone lines should not be used for facsimile or any other data transmissions. 4. Power supply whenever required for the ordered facility, should be ordered separately. 5. Telephone services will be terminated one hour before the close of the exhibition on the last open day and telephone set or fax machine will be collected by our telecom service personel. 6. For telecom services, the Centre shall be under no liability for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect or consequential which the hirer may suffer by reasons of equipment failure or defects, or any causes beyond the direct control of the Centre. Any claims against the Centre shall not exceed the total amount charged for the services provided. 7. For Broadband Internet Services, the hirer should bring their PC or notebook computer to the Venue 1.5 hours before the event. The Centre shall only provide setup assistance to the hirer to ensure their PC or notebook is accessible to the Internet. 8. For each internet connection, only one dedicated computer station shall be connected. 9. A penalty charge will be imposed for lost or damaged telephone sets. (The penalty charges are: HK$600 for Analogue Telephone; HK$2,500 for Digital Feature Telephone; HK$4,500 for IP Feature Telephone) 10. A penalty charge will be imposed for lost or damaged Dial-Up modem (The penalty charge is HK$200). 11. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT AND PROVISION OF SERVICES In these Terms and Conditions, “the Centre” shall mean AsiaWorld-Expo Management Ltd acting through its authorised representative, and “the Hirer” shall mean the person or company to whom the Centre rents equipment and/or provides services. The Centre reserves the right to refuse orders received after the deadline. The Centre also reserves the right to refuse any relocation of the same item(s). However, should the Centre accept to perform such relocation order(s), they shall be subject to a minimum surcharge of 30% of standard rates, in addition to any applicable charges as determined by the Centre at its absolute discretion. All Equipment provided by the Centre shall be used within the Centre, only, and exclusively for the specified exhibition(s) and event(s). Provision of any Services and Equipment by the Centre is subject to availability at the time of ordering. Orders will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. The Centre reserves the right not to accept any orders received and in such cases the applicant will be notified accordingly. If by reason of force majeure, labour difficulties, shortage of Equipment or any cause outside the control of the Centre or not foreseeable by the Centre, the Centre is unable to provide all or any of the Services or Equipment ordered during the whole or any part of the duration of the exhibition or event, the Hirer’s rights shall be limited to a refund on a pro-rata basis of the charges paid for the Services or Equipment. Orders which are cancelled in writing more than 21 days before the commencement date of the organiser’s licence period will not be charged. A cancellation charge of 30% of the value of the order will be applied to orders which are cancelled between 21 days and 7 days before the commencement date of the licence and a cancellation charge of 100% of the value of the order will be applied to orders cancelled 7 days or less before the commencement date of the licence. The Hirer will be responsible for returning all Equipment to the Centre within one hour following the close of the exhibition or event on the last open day. Full daily rates shall be payable by the Hirer for each day the Equipment is not returned after the date specified for the return thereof. The Centre’s acceptance of the return of the Equipment is not a waiver of any claim that the Centre may have against the Hirer, whether for physical damage or otherwise. The Hirer will use the Equipment in a careful and proper manner, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations issued by the Centre and any specific user’s rules or instructions applicable to the Equipment, and shall not remove any logo, serial number, tag or nameplate on the Equipment. The Hirer shall not make any alterations, modifications, attachments and/or additions to the Equipment, shall keep the Equipment in its sole custody and shall not allow the Equipment to be used by any other party. The Hirer will be liable for any loss, robbery of or damage to the Equipment occurring while the Equipment is on hire to the Hirer. In the event of any robbery, loss of or damage to the Equipment for which Hirer is liable, the Hirer shall reimburse the Centre for the total cost of making good, repair or replacement, and the Centre shall be entitled to immediately terminate any order and require return of all Equipment. In addition, the Centre reserves the right to claim damages from the Hirer. The Hirer will be in default if the Hirer fails to pay any charges when due or any other indebtedness or fails to return the Equipment to the Centre as required by these Terms and Conditions or breaches any of the terms of any order. At any time after a default by the Hirer, the Centre may terminate the rental services by notice to the Hirer and repossess the Equipment. The Hirer shall remain liable for all unpaid charges and the Centre may apply, and retain all or a portion of the Hirer’s security/damage deposit as may be necessary to compensate the Centre for any unpaid charges or damages and expenses incurred on account of the default; or the Centre may exercise any other rights occurring to the Hirer under any applicable law upon a default by the Hirer. The Centre reserves the rights to impose credit card imprints from the hirer on selected order items. The Centre shall have the right to inspect the Equipment at all times during the rental period and the Hirer shall make all arrangements to permit any qualified employee of the Centre access to the Equipment for the purpose of such inspection. As soon as the Hirer discovers that any Equipment is defective, it shall notify the Centre and the Centre shall make a reasonable effort to repair and/or replace the Equipment at the Centre’s own cost, provided that such defect is not due to any misuse or default by the Hirer. The Centre shall not be liable for any other cost or for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect or consequential or for any loss of revenue, contract or profit that the Hirer may suffer as a result of defective or failed Equipment or Service and the Centre’s aggregate liability to the Hirer is limited to the amount charged for the provision of Services and rental of Equipment. The laws of Hong Kong shall apply and the Centre and the Hirer agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts. The Hirer shall at all times indemnify the Centre against all actions, claims, demands, damages, expenses, compensation, costs, charges, liability and proceedings suffered or borne by the Centre arising from the Hirer’s negligence, the Hirer’s failure to comply with the conditions of this order, or any other conduct of the Hirer connected with this order. All orders must be submitted with full payment, exempt from any bank charges and any other kind of deduction or retention, together with the required deposit (if applicable) in HK Dollars. The hall’s equipment shall not be used unless prior approval has been obtained. f) Food and drinks are not allowed in public areas or carpeted areas. g) Use of guest’s facilities is strictly prohibited and workers are not allowed to loiter in guest’s areas. h) Smoking inside the exhibition hall and conference area during the contract works is highly prohibited. i) All materials used method of installation and structural fitness must comply with all local safety codes; any temporary structure should not be installed in such a way that hinder or obstruct the operation of the hall’s fire and safety routes and equipment. j) Contractor(s) will not allow or permit any damage to the hall building or any part thereof or any fixtures, nor shall any alterations to the structure be allowed. Hacking, drilling, screw/ pins, nailing, adhesive or devises of any description likely to deface or damage walls, floor, furniture and furnishing are allowed on hall’s finishing. k) Contractor/ Stand builder shall protect, defend, pay on behalf of, save and hold harmless AWE, affiliated companies and AWE and Hotel and their employees against and from all claims, damages, losses and expenses. However, the same may be caused by reason of any suite, claims, judgment or cause of action initiated by any person arising or alleged to have risen directly or indirectly out of the performance of the work by the contactor(s). l) All construction debris or garbage generated in exhibition area should be collected and disposed of by the exhibition or stand builder on a daily basis and please does not use the AWE refuse compartments. m) Naked flames and any other temporary electrical fitting are strictly prohibited. n) The exhibition and contractor / stand builders will be charged for all repair costs and clean- ing resulting from setting and dismantling or during the event itself. o) Painting or sawing must be done outside the exhibition area. 14. Explosive, petrol, dangerous gases or inflammable substances are not permitted inside the building. P.42 THE 13th GAS INFORMATION EXCHANGE FOR THE WESTERN PACIFIC ADVANCING THE GAS VALUE CHAIN 15. Design Restrictions a) Mega booth stand height is 5 meters: Any design for a structure exceeding 5 meters in height must be submitted for approval at least 10 weeks in advance of the exhibition and will be considered on a case by case basis. If approved, this structure will be restricted to: i) A distance of 1 meter away from the dividing walls of the neighboring stand. ii) Stands over 3 meters high/Structure hanging from ceiling must be constructed under the supervision of an Authorized person (AP)/ Registered Structural Engineer (RSE). The AP/RSE shall issue a supervision report to show AP/RSE has supervised the erection of the temporary structures. For stands over 4.5 meters high and Multi-Storey Booths, the Authorized person (AP)/ Registered Structural Engineer (RSE) should provide structural justification report in addition to the supervision report. Registered Structural Engineer, http://www.bd.gov.hk/english/inform/index_ap.html iii) Exhibitors must submit this certificate to the Organizer/PICO before start of construction. Exhibitor must accept full responsibility for the safety of the structure. Approval of design will depend upon safety, avoiding of disturbance to neighboring stand and may not be granted in all cases. Exhibitors wishing to build walls higher than 4.5 m must apply for a special approval the Organizer with supporting RSE certification 10 weeks before the exhibition. Approval of such a design will be decided on a case by case basis and at the entire discretion of the Organizer. b) Two-storey stands is compulsory to send the design to the Organizer for approval 10 weeks before the exhibition (2 copies of detailed drawing will be required). Any two-storey structure booth must carry a “Safety Certificate” with calculation issued by a qualified engineer/surveyor (Registered Structural Engineer/Surveyor). Exhibitors must submit this certificate to the Organizer before start of construction. Exhibitor must accept full responsibility for the safety of the structure. Failure to do this may result in extra costs to exhibitors for special late scrutiny. All materials used in the stand construction must be properly fireproofed in accordance with local regulations f) Dismantling: At the close of the exhibition, it is the joint responsibility of exhibitors and/or their contractors to dismantle and remove the stand, in accordance with the dismantling schedule to be issued by the Organizer. All debris, carpet and carpet tape must be cleared by the exhibitors and/or their contractors, any exhibitor’s equipment or stand fittings remaining after 2400 hrs on 20 Nov 2014 will be disposed of using the contractor’s deposit or invoiced to exhibitor. g) Stand Number: The number of the stand, as allocated by the Organizer, must be clearly indicated on all open sides.
