YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS
Exciting news! We have 30 spots reserved for Catholic
HEART Workcamp this coming July in Cumberland,
MD. We will be traveling to CHWC on Sun., July 5
and we will return on July 11. What is Catholic
HEART Workcamp (CHWC)? It is a weeklong mission
opportunity for youth, designed to revitalize communities
and foster spiritual growth. Teens from our parish will
gather in Cumberland, MD with teens from other parishes
from across the country and go out to the local community
to serve those in need. If you are interested in attending, I
encourage you to check out the official website:

An Informational Meeting will be held on Wed., Nov.
19 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Parish Center for those
interested in attending CHWC. Stop in to watch our video
from our trip to Pittsburgh in 2013 and ask any questions
that you may have. Reservations will also be accepted at
that time, an $85 non-refundable deposit (checks made out
to STM Church). The total cost of the trip is $330 pp, the
cost will be broken down into multiple payments
throughout the year. Please know that several fundraising
opportunities will take place throughout the year to help
with the cost of this trip. To RSVP for the meeting and to

parish I would like the opportunity to meet the teens
interested in attending CHWC at this meeting.

A new young adult speaker series sponsored by the Office
of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, invites you to an
upcoming event! This series is open to all young adults
ages 18 to 35, and the next event will be held on Fri.,
Nov. 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lehigh Univ.
Newman Center. Rev. Allen Hoffa, Chaplain of Lehigh
University and Allentown Central Catholic H.S. will speak
on "Who Am I to Judge? Pope Francis and

ADULT FAITH FORMATION
On Monday, Nov. 10, 7:00-7:45 p.m., come to the Disciple's
Room for "Our Belief in Christ in Life: How does life
everlasting differ from life?" Dr. Brennan Purcell will lead the
discussion of #1020-1065 in the Catechism. You can download

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS
The Knights will offer a FREE BASIC Computer
Workshop on Thurs., Nov. 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the School
PLC Computer Lab, which is located near the
Colonnade across from the bathrooms. No computer is
necessary, but if you do have one that you can bring, i.e. a
laptop, please do. The purpose of the workshop is to teach
basic computer communication skills such as accessing
the internet and viewing web pages and email, where you
can obtain valuable info and view videos on sites such as
www.stmchurchallentown.org and the Vatican's website.
Some of the Catholic Church's historical documents are
now available online. You can view Facebook pages of
family and friends. See pictures of your grandchildren
anytime you wish. Email allows you to communicate
easily and to many friends at once. Be connected...Get
online!
Annual Food Drive will take place on Dec. 13 and 14 at
all Masses. Knights will be at each exit of the church to
collect food, gift cards, More Bread or cash donations.
You will be able to make your donations either entering
the Church or exiting after Mass. Thanks for your help!
