Keynote Speaker Professor Vicharn Panich, M.D Keynote Session: Creating Researchers through Teaching and Learning Management Professor Vicharn Panich, M.D. is known as the pioneer for knowledge management in Thailand as he is the Director of the Knowledge Management Institute (KMI). He has served as the Special Advisor of The Thailand Research Fund (TRF), and the Chairman of the University Council of Mahidol University Council. He has also served on the boards of many organizations and foundations, including as chairman of the International Health Policy Program Foundation, member of the boards of the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program Foundation, the Medical Division of the Ananda Mahidol Foundation, and the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation under Royal Patronage. Featured Speakers Preecha P. Yupapin King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang Dr. Preecha P. Yupapin is currently an Associate Professor at with Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok, Thailand. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from City University of London, M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Mahidol University, and B.Ed. in Physics from Srinakarinwirote University. His experiences include being a post-doctor research fellow under the European Community research project from 1994 to 1985and a visiting professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2007. He has authored and coauthored more than 550 research papers in Google Scholar database, 35 papers in Pubmed, and 35 chapters and books. He has been appointed as an Editorial Board Member and Editor-in-Chief of 20 international journals. His research interests are nanophysics, nano-electronics, spintronics, nano-communication and networks, molecular electronics, nano-medicine and beauty, nano-energy and human engineering. Dr. Yupapin is a member of Thai Institute Physics (TIP), South East Asia Theoretical Physics Association (SEATPA) committee, South East Asian Collaboration for Ocean Renewable Energy (SEAcORE) committee, Optical Society of America (OSA), OSA nanophotonic technology technical group advisor. He got several outstanding works, where one of them has the opportunity to win the Nobel Prize Awards in 2012 on “Stopping Light” concept in IEEE-Photonics Technology in 2009. He has also been a candidate for Eni Awards 2013(Nobel Prize in Energy) on “New Type Solar Cells Device” in OPTICS EXPRESS 2012. Thawascha Dechsubha Nakhorn Rachasima Rajabhat University Dr. Thawascha Dechsubha holds an Ed.D. in Applied Linguistics from La Trobe University, Australia, M.A in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Srinakharinwiort University (Prasarnmittra) and B.A in English, Burabha University. Athikom Roeksabutr Mahanakorn University of Technology, Bangkok Featured Session Title: Impact of Radio Waves to Human Health Dr, Athikom Roeksabutr received a B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology, Ladkrabang, Thailand, an M.S.E.E. (Electrical Engineering) from the Florida Institute of Technology, USA, and a Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering major in Optical Communications) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is currently the Dean of Engineering and the Vice President at Mahanakorn University of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. He also serves as the editor to the journal of the Engineering Transactions. He has published more than 100 research papers in both local and international publications. His research interests include optical technology and communication system, optical signal processing, microwave photonics, impact of the radio frequencies, and etc.. Sornchai Mungthaisong Chiang Rai Rajabhat University Dr. Sornchai Mungthaisong received Ph.D. Linguistics from Adelaide University, Australia. His two-decade of academic expertise covers various areas of linguistic works including ethnographic and ethnosemantic studies, community-based development research based on linguistic knowledge, literacy studies and text analysis. He currently an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and serves as vice president academic affairs of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Chaing Rai Province.
