Gait making little use of the muscular strength of
the legs/area around the center of gravity
Gait of a person with back pain
The dorsal vertebrae/sacrum have similar motion traces. The body moves to
the right and left as the foot hits the
ground, spreading the impact.
There is pronounced left-right motion in the upper part
of the body.The movement of the arms compensates
for the lack of muscular strength in the legs/area
around the center of gravity and provides motive force.
There is little left/right motion at the dorsal vertebrae/sacrum.
There is a strong up-down impact when
the foot hits the ground.
