Attention Seniors & Parents: We need your pictures! The media team is working on the Senior Video.
We need baby pictures, elementary pictures, middle school pictures, and high school pictures. The best
pictures include other South Fayette students. You can bring in hard copies or email Mr Caprio @
mcaprio@southfayette.org. Keep an eye out for flyers posted around the school.
Attention Teen Institute Members: Two mandatory meetings have been scheduled for Tues., Nov. 18th
and Tues., Nov. 25th. Please plan on attending these meetings! If you cannot make one of the meetings,
please see Mrs. Martin in person in the guidance office. A lso, there will NOT be a meeting this Tues., Nov.

Attention All Students: The Bridgeville Food Bank needs your help this Sat., Nov. 15th. Anyone who is
interested in volunteering at the Bridgeville food bank this Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM should see
Mrs. Martin in Guidance for more information. The Food Bank is also holding a Children’s Christmas Party.
Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer and spread some Christmas cheer? The party is on Sun.,
Dec 7th. Volunteers are needed from 12:00 to 4:30 PM. If you are interested, stop in the Guidance Office for

Attention All Students: The Fiddler on the Roof is coming soon! Are you in the musical? There will be a
vocal rehearsal and meeting for all students interested in participating in the spring musical in the Chorus
Room, “Fiddler on the Roof, today, Nov. 13th after school until 4:15 PM.
Attention Seniors and Parents: Mr. Caprio and the Media Department are in need of senior pictures for
inclusion in the 2015 Senior Video that will be shown at the Senior Banquet. Seniors will receive a flyer in
their English classes or you can pick up one in the Student Center or Main Office. The deadline for turning
in your pictures is Fri., Nov. 21st . Any questions, please contact Mr. Caprio.
Attention all Students and Parents: The toy drive for the local South Fayette/Bridgeville Food Bank is
now accepting new toys for children ages 2 to 14. Toys will be collected through November 30 th. If you
would like to donate a toy(s), please drop off at the South Fayette Township building. If you have any
questions, please call 412-292-1342.
Attention Parents and Students: Please join SF to hear from one of the design teams from Schell
Games to learn about game design and careers in the industry. During this 1-hour long presentation, 5
video game designers will talk about the importance of academics in the preparation for a career in the
games industry. Designers will also introduce the various career paths available in the games industry and
how each career path contributes to the development of a game. You will hear from designers representing
several different areas of expertise: Design, Art, Engineering, and Production. The presentation will be
held on Thur., Nov. 20th from 7:00-8:30 PM at South Fayette Intermediate School Gymnasium.
Registration for this event is required. Please register by completing the information at this link before Nov.

Attention Parents and Students: The South Fayette High School Jazz Ensemble will be performing at
Latitude 360 in Robinson this weekend! The concert is at 6:00 PM this Sun., Nov. 16 th. The ensemble will
be opening for and performing with national jazz recording guitarist, Chuck Loeb. Tickets can be purchased

Attention All Students: The 9th Annual NEED Historical Black College Tour has been scheduled for
March 27-April 4, 2015. This Educational Tour is for sophomores and juniors and allows students to gain
firsthand knowledge about their anticipated major or field of interest. Students have the opportunity to visit
13 HBCU’s in the Eastern and Southeastern United States. Interested students should stop in the
Guidance Office for additional information.
Attention all Students: If you are interested in signing up for the Mini-THON in April, please go to Mr.
Flannery’s room to get your signup forms. All money raised from the event will go to support the Four
Diamonds Fund to fight childhood cancer. Last year we had thirty teams and over 250 students participate
and raised over $21,000, and we hope to see you at this year’s event! A reminder to all team captains that
you should be getting your team members signed up on DonorDrive as soon as possible.
Attention All Students: The 2014 Turkey Bowl Dodgeball Tournament is coming! Now is the time to sign
up. All classes will have a team - Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. For $1.00, you can put
yourself into a drawing to be chosen for your class team. For $20.00, you guarantee your spot. Sign up in

Prom Announcement: Attention all students, the following are some details regarding Prom:
• Prom will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015
• Please be aware that times have CHANGED – Promenade will now begin at 4:00 p.m. AND the Prom
will be held from 6:00-11:00 p.m. (we will not have overnight prom anymore)
• Prom will be held at the Omni William Penn Hotel downtown in the William Penn Ballroom
• Tickets will cost $100 per person and $200 per couple
• Students can begin selling Sarris candy immediately to begin earning money off of their tickets!
Students interested in selling candy should see Mrs. Shrewsbury ASAP. The person who sells the
most candy this year wins TWO FREE PROM TICKETS!
