Our services are designed primarily for adults, so we ask that you would take your children to the classes offered in the Children’s Ministry. Children ten years and older are permitted in the Main Sanctuary and Multi-Purpose Room when accompanied by a parent. We hope to adequately minister to you and your children on a personal level. Please do not move around after the service has begun, and please be sensitive to those around you who want to listen and learn from God’s Word. If you need to leave the Main Sanctuary during the Bible Study for any reason, we request that you not re-enter the Main Sanctuary, but we ask you to join us in the Multi-Purpose Room. We do this to keep distractions at a minimum as we study God’s Word. Thank you. ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ Today’s message is available for purchase at the Light of the Word sales table. Vermont Avenue • Gardena, CA 90248 (310) 352-3333 • www.ccsouthbay.org email: southbay@ccsouthbay.org “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13 Everyone loves a hero. The story of one risking his own life for another has been the theme of countless books since almost the beginning of time. In this passage, Jesus defines for us what a true hero really looks like. The scriptures teach that Jesus “endured the cross, but despised the shame.” In the garden, He even asked the Father to “take the cup” from Him. Much like a soldier, our Lord put His life on the line and paid the ultimate price so that we might live! This Veterans Day, let’s remember our Armed Forces and give thanks to all those who have faithfully fulfilled their duty and risked their lives for our freedom. What, Me Worry? • Introducing the latest in a series of pocket booklets by Pastor Steve. We all face obstacles in life. When the fear and anxiety of our circumstances start to turn our world upside down, instead of casting our concerns onto our faithful God, we often choose instead to WORRY. It’s amazing how we spend so much of our time “worrying” instead of trusting God. Take your eyes off the storms of your life and begin going down the road of trusting God. What, Me Worry? is now available in the Cornerstone Bookstore and Light Of The Word table.
