BJP allies TDP and Shiv Sena have also named YS Chowdhary and Anil Desai, respectively, for induction in the Council of Ministers. Both the Rajya Sabha members are expected to be made Ministers of State. The swearing-in of the new ministers will take place at 1 PM tomorrow at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Before the swearing-in ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting a breakfast for the newcomers into his ministry. This will be the first reconstitution of the Ministry by Modi since coming to power in May. Speaking to reporters, he said that MSRRDA recently issued tenders for construction of roads and bridges in rural and hills areas. With the completion of the 9th phase, MSRRDA issued a notification for the 10th phase with November 18 as the last date, he said. During the submission of tenders, work agencies and contractors have applied to execute these works by cutting down 27 to 30 percent from the total permitted amount, he alleged. As a police team arrived at the market complex to dismantle the makeshift structures/shops, they were resisted by some women vendors resulting in a brief altercation. Later the two sides came to an understanding and the makeshift shops were dismantled voluntarily by the vendors/ shopkeepers. Nonetheless, another police team led by Imphal West Additional SP Birbabu kept a close vigil so as to avoid any untoward incident.
