The 2014 Fur Ball, October 11, 2014, at the ICC, Beverly, MA
Upper, from left: big welcome kitty at ICC; Jordan Ortins (dancing), Heidi Roberts and Linda Ross.
Bottom, from left: Helen and Walter Stenhouse, Rep. Jerry Parisella, Sen. Joan Lovely, Bonnie
Hannable, fancy pumpkin made by Sharon Cook and goodies on dessert table. Music by The Sellouts
was enjoyed by all! Many thanks to attendees and all who helped make the event a success!
Clooney (just adopted)
Clooney and his siblings were living outside. A rescue group
received a call about them, but all their foster homes were
full. FOBA took in the kittens, made sure they received much
needed medical care, and found homes for them. This handsome boy, about three months old, has just been adopted, along
with another kitten. His new owners, who also have two dogs,
wrote: “The kitties are doing fine, We have not renamed them
yet but we will soon. They are really sweet and friendly and I am
so glad we have them.”
Earl Grey (available soon)

Coconut (adopted)
Coconut (now Charlie) is a recent FOBA adoption. Previously a street kitten, he is enjoying
making new friends in his new home. Coconut’s
sister, Macaroon, was also adopted locally.
They were both adopted into homes where
there are other animals they can play with.
We’re so happy that they both now have good,
loving homes!

Nina (now available)
Female kitten, 4 months old. NINA likes
to play with toys and is good at playing
kitty “soccer,” as she chases a rolling
ball in between her front paws. When
she gets to know you, Nina will jump up
on your lap or sit near you, and enjoys
being stroked. The white kitten with the black spots would do well
with another kitten or cat, in a household with or without older children. She may even adjust to life with a dog. Nina has had all her
shots (distemper and Rabies), and the required feline tests. Nina
uses her litter box regularly. She would enjoy having a cat perch or
place near a window to watch the birds and world outdoors. If you
are interested in this kitten, contact Cheryl, her foster mom, at
cmezack@aol.com (978) 578-0588.
Please “like” us on Facebook and help us spread the word about

Tyson
"My name is Tyson. I'm a Bullmastiff mix. I was born in January 2003, so I'm 11 years old. I love to
run, but need a fenced-in yard. I've never bitten anyone. I'm good with other dogs, I love people.
I'm a pretty good listener, I think I'm a lapdog, but as you can tell by my size not really. I love to go
out for walks, but my owner has colon cancer and it is hard for her to take me. She can't really take
care of me anymore. I'm looking for a good, happy home. So if you could help find me one, it would
make us both very happy. Thank you."
If you are interested in adopting
Tyson or know someone who
might be interested, call Karen
Mealey at (978) 777-4458.
Please help us spread the word
about this beautiful dog who
needs a new home.
