If both courses are followed, the second course costs only 40% of the advertised fees. 2 A basic working knowledge of SPSS and an introductory course in statistics, like Introduction to Quantitative Data Analysis with SPSS, are required for this course. 3 a working knowledge of SPSS and an introductory course in statistics, including basic regression analysis are required for this course. When both Introduction to regression analysis using SPSS and Multiple regression and factor analysis using SPSS are followed, the second course costs 40% of the advertised fees. Fees: R4 000 per course for non-registered students, R2 000 for SU students, R2 500 for other students. Fees must be paid at enrolment and proof of payment should be provided to the course administrator at least 2 weeks before the course starts. Places are limited and allocated on a first paid basis. Course fees include refreshments during tea breaks. Participants are responsible for own travel and accommodation arrangements. Attendance and assignments: Participants are expected to attend 5 days of classes/seminars from Monday to Friday (9:00 until 13:00 and for certain courses tutorials in the afternoons 14:00 – 15:30). The final assignment for each course takes place outside of this period. Participants who are not interested in acquiring academic credits for courses are not expected to submit assignments (but full payment is required). While these courses can be taken individually without enrolling for a degree programme, it also forms part of our Postgraduate Diploma in Social Science Methods (SAQA registered). Therefore, successful completion of these courses is one way to acquire academic credits for the Postgraduate Diploma in Social Science Methods.
