Pray Always
Many parishes have a parish book of prayer or parish book of
intercessions where individuals can write a prayer for someone
in need, a prayer of thanksgiving, or a prayer of praise. When
we gather at Mass, we pray for others and with one another.
How can we take this example from church to our homes and
pray always? Consider buying a blank book or journal as your
family’s book of prayer. Each day write a prayer—of thanks,
intercession, praise or petition. Let every time you think of a
friend, family member or co-worker be a prayer of thanks for
that person’s place in your live.
