Jackie Hartnell

1 Day Course, Wed 10:00-12:00
Details: Finding it harder to remember things? Needing longer to dredge something up? It’s perfectly normal as we get older - so
relax about those lapses of memory. There are things we can do to make dramatic differences to our memory and brain health thus minimising the chances of getting Alzheimers, or the effects if it does strike.
In the workshop you will learn some of the things you can do to make your brain work better. These encourage the brain’s
resilience when parts change due to ageing, help “spare” bits take over when other bits decide to give up, and improve
connections in the brain so that, without realizing it, creative and logical thinking will combine to solve problems.
The Don’t Forget the Bacon workshop is not only fun, but will also help you discover some of the things you can do to make your
brain work better. This is brain plasticity in action!

simple language. It will be lavishly illustrated, and will even include a short story by a world-famous author. You will meet many of
the extraordinary people who have made our World what it is.
There is mounting evidence to suggest we are living on a planet whose resources may not be able to meet the future demands of
