My practice deals with a broad range of issues that lie in the interface between law and mental health. These issues include: 2 3 1. Administrative law: I represent health care professionals facing disciplinary actions by agencies including licensing boards, health care payment (e.g., Medicare), etc. (30% of my practice) 2. Criminal law: I represent individuals facing criminal charges where psychological variables are central to the defense (e.g., "recovered" memory, posttraumatic and dissociative disorders) (5 % of my practice). 3. Civil law: I represent plaintiffs in mental health malpractice cases, serve as "Cumis" counsel for mental health professional defendants in civil cases, and consult to attorneys representing such individuals.
