DEVELOPMENT TOOLS
ST100 Starterkit vs ST200 Evaluation Kit vs RSP1 Evaluation Kit
These kits allow learning Radar basics and evaluating Radar technology for your specific application.
STxxx kits can save a lot of initial time and money in order to get first Radar experience.
While ST100 and ST200 allow signal analysis in more detail, RSP1 Evaluation Kit is oriented on practical
implementation of movement sensors.

RSP1 Radar Signal Processor
RSP1 is a highly configurable signal processor for Radar based movement detectors and speed
estimators. RSP1 comes in a 44 pin TQFP or QFN (on request) case. It offers excellent detection
performance by using complex FFT algorithm and adaptive noise threshold.
User has only to add an input amplifier and digital output drivers and gets a high performance detection
system.
Reference designs and application notes are available in the RSP1 datasheet.
The RSP1_Eval-Kit is an indispensable starting point for developing RSP1 applications.
Typical Applications:
• Movement detectors
• Lighting control systems
• Security applications
• Object speed detection
RSP1 Evaluation Kit
With the RSP1 Evaluation Kit, you can explore most features of RSP1 and different RFbeam sensors.
All schematics, PCB layout and BOM are included as a reference. Also included are 5 sensors
K-LC1a, K-LC2, K-LC3, K-LC5, K-LC6. RSP_Scope and RSP_Terminal PC software are included.
Typical Applications:
• Analyzing behavior of different sensors in practical environment
• Reference design for own developments based on RSP1 processor
• Exploring FFT based Doppler signal processing
• Optimizing choice of sensor type for different applications
• Use as movement detector for low volume applications
TEST AND MEASURMENT SYSTEMS
K-DT1 Portable Doppler Simulator
K-DT1 is a portable moving target simulator for K-band Radar transceivers.
It can be used for calibrating and testing speed displays, door openers, safety systems and other radar
based Doppler sensors.
K-DT1 comes with the Windows software DT-Remote. This software allows configuring and real time
speed simulations with the K-DT1 device connected via USB port.
Typical applications:
• Mobile Test Equipments
• Production Final Inspection
• Incoming Components Inspection
• System Tuning and Adjustment
K-TS1 Radar Test System
K-TS1 is a multi-functional test system for K-Band transceivers. K-TS1 features K-Band frequency and
power measurement as well as a Doppler target simulator. It can be run as stand-alone deviecs or remote
controlled via USB interface. K-TS1 comes with a TSviewLite, a virtual multimeter windows software.
Typical applications:
• Complete Radar Test Systems Including Power and Frequency Measurement
• Production Final Inspection
• System Tuning and Adjustment
• Automatic Microwave Test Equipment

K-FT1 FMCW Radar Target Simulator (in preparation)
Until now, testing of FMCW equipment was a very time and money consuming procedure.
Testing of radar sensors with multiple moving or static targets has been very difficult until
now. Outdoor tests with real world signals often showed non reproducible results.
Now development and test of radar sensors has been taken to a new level.
Two different targets can be simulated simultaneously.
The synthetic targets are electronically variable in distance ( 2 – 150 m ), velocity ( 0 to
+/- 300 km/h ) and amplitude ( 50 dB variation )
Predefined profiles in distance and velocity can be stored and recalled.
