It is with great pleasure Indian Dental Association, Warangal branch extends a very warm
welcome to the 1st Telangana State Dental Conference to be held from 12th to 14th of
December, 2014 at the historic city of Warangal. Located at a distance of 148 kms from the
state capital, Warangal is next largest city of nascent State Telangana. The historical
monuments of this region with excellent architectural styles have been attracting a wide variety

Located on the hilltop
between the twin cities of
Hanamkonda and
Warangal, the temple is
held in high esteem by
devotees of the goddess
Bhadrakali popularly
called as 'Grant Mother
Goddess'. An artificial lake
is located in the
surroundings of the
temple in the radius of
21/2 kms.
Medaram is located 120
km away from Warangal
city, which in turn is about
140 km from the state
capital Hyderabad. A
popular religious
congregation or Jatara
called "Samakka sarakka"
jatara takes place for three
days biennially in this
village. This is deemed to
be second largest
congregation in India, only
after the Kumbha Mela.
Ramappa temple is also
known as the Rama
lingeswara temple, is
located 77 km from
Warangal, the ancient
capital of the Kakatiya
dynasty, it took 40 years to
build this temple. The
entire facade of the temple
is covered with intricate
carvings and sculpted
figures taken from Hindu
mythology. It is the only
temple in the world named
after its sculptor/architect.
Situated about 80 kms
from Warangal, this place
is surrounded trees and
green hills kined up
around to hold the rain
water. The speciality of
this place is a hanging
bridge which connects a
small island in the lake.
THOUSAND PILLARS
TEMPLE
Located in the town of
Hanamkonda, Thousand
pillars temple is a historic
Hindu temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva, Vishnu and
Surya. the speciality of the
temple is that, there are
1000 pillars in the temple
and building but no pillar
obstructs a person in any
point of temple to see the
God in other temple.
