In ten months, our team built a new MTM service documentation platform which serves more than 100,000 pharmacy providers and 5.5 million patients. I am responsible for the UI design and front-end development and work towards improving consistency of user interfaces and client-side performance across systems. I implemented a web style guide and continuously educate other developers on client-side code and browser debugging tools. Through user research, I drive and educate my peers to mature our user-centered culture and collaborate with business partners to simplify project requirements. Past work has included a web site for a restaurant with administrative access for the owner to manage menus and events, a web site for an artist to showcase her work online, and informative static web sites for an architect and a chiropractor. I am currently working on a responsive site for a high school scholarship program that will allow for online donations via PayPal. In addition, I am in the process of updating a web site I did in 2010 to be responsive and meet the latest web standards. I was part of a User Experience web team where I focused on user-centered analysis and design driving innovation through new technology and design principles. I combined business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints to create UIs that met user expectations while adhering to project scope. I developed functional prototypes for both web and mobile applications utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and conducted usability testing with those prototypes. I helped create a metrics process for measuring the success of UX involvement after project completion. I implemented ad codes and used analytics tools to run usage reports and measure web traffic. Throughout the dozens of projects I worked on, I saw increased user satisfaction from surveys, decreased customer service call volume, and higher task completion and conversion rates. I also gave presentations to other developers on HTML, CSS, and browser debugging tools. I helped develop and grow a web style guide to improve consistency on web applications company wide. I educated management and project teams on the value of UX by giving presentations and being a voice for UX in project meetings. I created formal documentation on the role of our team, when to involve us in projects, responsibilities of team members, and ongoing expectations. I also improved transition sites (used for oncoming clients) by creating web site templates with four different levels of customization for clients to choose from. I was nominated and selected to receive the Valued Intern at The Principal (VIP) Scholarship which was awarded to only five of the 80+ interns that summer.
