A NOTE FROM FATHER LOWRY THE VESTRY November 11, 2014 Steven Chabaud Dear Friends, Senior Warden Linda Mathies Junior Warden Hampton Carver Terry Fontham Nancy Marshall Neil Apffel Andrea Albergo Liz Frischhertz Mary Beth Maygarden I write to share with you my great joy that you have chosen the Rev’d James Morrison as your new priest-in-charge. I met with Father Morrison last week and found him to be deeply spiritual, engaging and caring. My friends at Trinity Church, where Father Morrison has served for the past several years, tell me that he will be greatly missed by all in the Trinity parish family. That is a very good sign. My time at St. Andrew’s has reinforced my conviction that St. Andrew’s Church and School are vitally important institutions in Carrolton and uptown New Orleans. Father Morrison will help the entire St. Andrew’s family unlock the great potential for lasting good at Carrolton and Zimple. Mother Gaumer’s faithful leadership before, during and after Katrina has set the stage for the next act of St. Andrew’s history. I have much appreciated your love and support for me during the past five-plus months. I hope I have been a positive presence during this time of transition from one fine priest to another. With best wishes, thanks and blessings, The Rev’d Canon David B. Lowry, PhD.
