Dr. Martin’s interest in dermatological lasers started in 1990 when, along with several
other doctors in the UK, he recognised the potential for the use of the Q-switched

started one of the first centres in Europe to offer this technology and was part of a
national organisation called Laserase, which introduced the concept of simple,
affordable laser surgery for laser tattoo treatment.

Dr Martin has co-owned clinics in Nottingham, Sheffield and Hull. He has provided laser
consultancy services to some of the largest and smallest light therapy providers, covering
many parts of the country. He is currently medical advisor to a large chain of high street
providers and has produced medical laser treatment protocols for numerous light-based
devices. !
Dr. Martin has now had many years experience of thousands of treatments using Qswitched ruby and Q-switched frequency doubled Nd:YAG lasers and has delivered
workshops on these treatments in UK and Europe.
