Olney Ballet Theatre (www.olneyballettheatre.org) is a non-profit, educational performing arts organization. We invite students to participate in the 2015 production of Mary Day’s “The Nutcracker”. Running for the ninth year at The Olney Theatre Center’s Historic Stage, this is a semi-professional production; running about 14 shows. Party scene rehearsals for teen and older characters begin early Nov. Tech week starts Dec 7. Show runs through Christmas Eve. SSL Hours Eligible for Dancers, Actors and Crew Crew • Costumes: sewing, alterations (Fittings start in Oct. Mending needed through show.) • Crafting: costumes & props (Starts in Oct. Help needed through show.) • Green Room: hair (fancy braiding), makeup (stage & specialty), costume dressing • Sound & Lighting Techs -HS students • Backstage: setup, run scenery, props, fly, strike -HS students • Parking Attendant -HS students • Marketing • Ushers Acting/Dance Party Scene & Gigogne Scene Open auditions for children’s roles are September 26 & 27.
