the device.
BATTERY
Ocarina is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery.
When the device is turned on, you can view the charge level of the battery
through the icon in the lower right corner of the display.
Recharge the device when the battery icon indicates a minimal residual
charge.
To reload Ocarina insert the connector of the USB cable supplied into the USB socket on
the right side of the device and connect the other end to a PC or to a transformer from
the mains to USB for portable devices (not supplied).
The charging begins automatically. If you are charging through a portable device make
sure that this has a sufficient charge level.
Power cable should not be unplugged until charging is complete.
To check the progress of charging, check the battery icon on the display.
When the last mark stops blinking the battery is fully charged.
To ensure the proper functioning of the battery it should not be recharged at a high
temperature.
- The time of a full charge is approximately 3 hours.
- The duration of the fully charged battery is greater than 15 hours.
- The actual battery life will vary with use, settings and environmental conditions.
- Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles.
Here are some tips to prolong the efficiency of the batteries:
1. Run the first charge until it stops scrolling the notches of charge indication on the
display.
2. Do not wait until the battery is completely low, as soon as you see the penultimate
notch proceed to recharge. This is because the new batteries suffer a bit the recharge
when fully discharged.
3. For the first 5-10 charge cycles complied with the above, then proceed safely. Now the
battery is less vulnerable so it is capable of withstanding the loads starting from the fully
discharged battery or the over-charges typical of night refills (7-8 hours).
4. Battery can be recharged from Ocarina turned off and this helps to prolong the life of
the battery.
5. Never use devices discharger. The battery should be discharged with the use of the
apparatus, you can speed up the process by using the display illumination to do it faster.
