MINUTES May 21st negotiations were conducted between the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NR) and Industri Energi on any wage adjustments within the Collective Agreement relating to Mobile Offshore Installations and platform drilling etc. on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NR) referred to the basis for the negotiations; “Prior to the expiry of the first year of the agreement, negotiations shall be commenced between the NSA and Industri Energi regarding possible wage adjustments for the second year of the Agreement. The parties agree that negotiations shall be held on the basis of the economic situation at the time of negotiation and the prospects for the second year of the agreement as well as the price and wage development during the first year of the Agreement. Amendments to the Collective Agreements for the second year of the Agreement shall be considered by the boards of IE and NR or the authority they appoint.” Translated by Stensen Consulting NUF 1 Industri Energi referred to the frontrunner trades between LO and NHO (Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise), and following settlements between Industri Energi and the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association, and argued that this normative on this year settlements. The parties had different perceptions as to whether there are grounds for wage adjustments for the second year of the Agreement and noted that they could not achieve an agreement.
