place them on the website for you to view daily! These
photos will also be available for purchase.
Camp Store Card
You can control how much your child spends at the Camp
Store. You can add more money to their account if
you notice they are running a little low. Please note that
when you add additional funds to your child’s account, it
takes 24 hours before your child can use them.
Final Payment Information
Final payment is due two weeks prior to the start of your child’s
camp term.
The Activity Release, Behavior Waiver, and Health Form must be
completed online. We do not require any paper forms to be
turned in.

CAMPER COMMUNICATION
Campers love to get mail from home! While your child is at camp,
you can communicate with them by sending them an encouraging
note, email, or a customized care package. Camper mail and
packages are delivered daily.
Send an Email!
Use your Parent Login to communicate with your child by sending
them an encouraging email (each email costs $0.75). Your camper
will not have access to email in return.
Send a Letter or Package!
If you would like to send your child a letter or package while they
are at camp, simply send it to the address below. Be sure to include
your child’s name, their cabin name and which week of camp they
are attending on the item being sent. It is recommended to mail
items 3-4 days prior to your child’s camp term. Items received after
your child’s camp term will be mailed to the address we have on
file for you.

PREPARE
Partnering Together for a Fun-Filled Camp Experience
FC Kids Camp at Allaso Ranch is an incredible time where children
can feel safe, try new things, and learn about God. Often, for many
children, camp is the first time to be away from home for any
period of time. Our staff and volunteers are trained and equipped
to face all types of situations that arise at camp, and we want to
partner with you by sharing some helpful tips to prepare you and
your child for a fun week at camp!
Before Camp
 Talk with your child about the things that will happen at camp.
Build excitement around the activities they will participate in. Share
the camp schedule with them to help them know what to expect.
 If your child has requested a specific roommate, arrange for
them to spend time together before camp. Perhaps even take them
on a shopping trip together to purchase things they will need at
camp.
 Talk to your child about their daily routine:
 Brushing their teeth
Brushing their hair
 Taking a shower
Changing clothes
 Taking medications
Getting dressed
 Pack for camp together! Let your child help you pack, or let
them pack themselves. This way they know what they are packing,
and you can talk to them about the experiences they will have at
camp.
 Talk to your child about “what if” situations, by explaining
how you might handle them at home.
 What if you feel sick?
What if you forget something?
 What if you fall down? What if you can’t sleep?
 What if you get scared? What if you feel homesick?
 What if you lose your flashlight?
 Talk to your child about letter writing. Mail is fun to send and
receive at camp. If your child gets homesick, it helps to write a
letter home, telling you what they are doing and what they are
enjoying. Help them pre-address some envelopes with stamps so
they can send you mail.

PREPARE
Handling Homesickness
It is common for children to experience homesickness while away
at camp. FC Kids is committed to helping your child through that
experience by providing a loving, accepting environment for them,
and by providing training to volunteers who will interact daily
with your child.
Here’s a possible situation that a volunteer may encounter:
The day has just ended. It is getting dark. The whole camp
family is walking toward their various sleeping quarters.
Suddenly Karen begins to think of her usual night routine at
home. Darkness, cabin, trees, sounds, no dogs, no mamma –
PANIC! PAIN! TEARS! Then you come along side with a firm
arm around the shoulder. "Karen, wasn’t that a neat story they
told us at camp at night?" Her mind is in neutral or stalled out
on self. "We aren’t finished yet. Lots of girls like the special
time we have in the cabin." Then you go on to dispel her fears
by telling her exactly what will happen next. Reassure her of
your presence all the time, talk about that special day coming
up tomorrow. Above all, keep her moving and thinking about
camp.
For many children that’s all it will take. The tears might last until
sleep comes. We are intentional about reassuring your child and
focusing on working toward short goals to help them adjust to
camp life. Some ideas on how you can help your child deal with
homesickness:
 Encourage your child’s independence throughout the year.
Practice separations, such as sleepovers at a friend’s house.
 Discuss what camp will be like before your child leaves.
 Send a note or care package ahead of time to arrive the first
day of camp.
 Don’t bribe. Linking a successful stay at camp to a material
object sends the wrong message. The reward should be your
child’s newfound confidence and independence.
 Pack a personal item from home, such as a favorite stuffed
animal or blanket.
 Talk to your child about different things they can do in case
they get homesick (write letters, engage in activities, bring a
picture from home etc.).

THE POWER OF PRAYER
We would like to invite you to pray for Kids Camp while your
children are here with us. Below is a timeline with some details of
what to pray for each day. During the week at camp, we will be
learning about the mission God has for us.

Prayer Timeline
Sunday- Pray for safe travel and a life-changing week for your child.
Sunday’s focus is all about relational connection between cabin mates
and their Trainers. Pray that this will set a great foundation for the
week!
Monday - Pray the children will learn that we should worship only
God. Pray for your children to worship God in everything that they do
and understand the different ways we worship God.
Tuesday - Pray the children will learn how to be a part of a team and
use their specific gifts to carry out God’s plan. Pray for your children to
follow God’s plan for their lives and work together with others.
Wednesday - Pray the staff will be encouraged and will have strength
to serve the spiritual needs of your child. Wednesday we will be
sharing the good news that Jesus died and rose again. Pray that the
children will sincerely respond to the message during the evening
service.
Thursday - Pray for the small group trainers that have been going nonstop since the Saturday before camp. Pray for the children to learn that
God has an incredible plan for their life and all they need to do is
follow Him. Pray for your children to listen and obey what God says
for their life.
Friday - Pray the children will learn to stand up for what is right. Pray
for your children to do the right thing and to encourage others around
them to do the right thing.
Saturday - Pray that your child would experience lasting change. It is
easy to be a Christian at camp. Children are way from TV, the internet,
negative influences, and other distractions back home. Pray that their
experience at camp will not be a spiritual “high” but a spiritual
“change”. Pray that families would be challenged as a result of the life
change that has taken place in the life of their child at camp. Finally,
pray for safe travels back home.

CAMPER ARRIVAL
Each camper will receive a departure packet in the mail. This packet
will include a camp pass, car mirror tag, luggage tags and other
valuable information regarding your child’s arrival. Please make sure
that you check your mail prior to arriving at camp.
Your child’s luggage tag will have the Village
Number and Cabin Name for the delivery of their
luggage. Please make sure this tag is attached to
each piece of your appropriately sized luggage.
In order to store all the luggage within each cabin,
it is required that luggage be no taller that 12 inches
packed. The beds stand exactly 12.1 inches off the
ground. Anything above 12 inches will not fit.
Your child may bring one piece of luggage, a bag
they can carry with them, and one bag for their
bedding. Pillows, blanket/sleeping bag, sheets, etc. must be in a closed
bag.
When you arrive at Allaso Ranch, please make sure that you keep with
you the following items:
 Any medication that the camper has brought with them should be
in a separate Zip-loc bag with the camper’s name written on it.
 Swim towel - Campers will need to arrive in their bathing suit, as
they will be required to take a swim test upon arrival at camp, and
will not have an opportunity to go to their cabin.
 Your child’s camp pass and other registration information from the
departure packet.
All campers will receive a personalized Kids Camp lanyard. It is
important for your child to wear their lanyard at all times so they are
easily identified to staff and volunteers.

face paint, or spaghetti strap tank tops. Glow sticks are not allowed.

MEDICATION INFORMATION
We have a fantastic Health Center at Allaso Ranch where medical staff
members are on duty 24 hours a day. Parents will be contacted if their
child requires emergency medical services. Listed below are a few rules
that we ask you to read through carefully:
 Please place all medications (in their original containers) in a
gallon size Ziploc baggie and include a photo of your child
with the medication. Write your child’s name on the front of
the baggie with a permanent marker.
 Please carry medications with you to check-in where you will
be directed to the Health Center to drop them off. All
medications must be checked in at the Health Center upon
arrival. Please do not pack your child’s medications in their
luggage.
 All medications must be in their original containers, with
legible prescription information (the label with the child’s
name, medication name, Dr.’s name, medication strength, and
how often to take it) on the bottle.
 Please bring one week’s supply of medication, not the entire
prescription.
 Medications, prescription or over-the-counter, may not be
kept with your child. The exceptions to this are rescue inhalers
for asthma, epi-pens for severe allergic reactions, and
emergency seizure medications. These medications must still
be brought to the health center, documented and then
returned to your child or their trainer.
 Vitamins are treated in the same way as medications and must
include documentation from a doctor for medical necessity
and dosage, and must come in the original containers.
 Medications in unmarked containers will not be accepted.
 Improperly labeled medications will not be dispensed until the
parent presents a prescription from the camper’s physician.
This prescription may be faxed to the Camp Office at
903-769-4729.
The above rules apply to anyone who is in a cabin. Trainer and
general volunteers will also turn in their medications to the health
center.

a rally welcoming them to camp! We
will end the night with Camp at Night a fun time together that will set the

connect with God and spend time in

served family style, and then Camp at

ACTIVITIES AT ALLASO RANCH
Mountain Bike Riding
Ride through the twists and turns around Allaso Ranch for an exciting time. Bikes are
available for checkout at the bike barn near the softball field. This activity requires closed
- toe shoes.
Zip Lines and Ropes Challenge Course
Soar through the air on Allaso Ranch’s 60 - foot Zip Lines, or take a team challenge on
the ropes course. These activities require closed - toe shoes.
Equestrian Center
Saddle up for an adventurous ride or hang around for a ropin’ good time at Allaso
Ranch’s Equestrian Center. Children must be 9 or older to go on the trail ride. This
activity requires long pants and closed - toe shoes.
Sports Fields (Football, Basketball, Kickball, Soccer & Softball)
Get your game face on for a competition unlike any other! It’s your team versus theirs
in friendly sports competition.
Paintball
Ready, Aim, Fire! Meet your match and take your chances with some friendly fire on
the Paintball course. One game of paintball is included in registration. An ammunition
coupon is required for additional games and available for purchase at the Camp Store
and Swim Center Cabana. Ammunition is $5 for 200 rounds, which you can deduct
from your Camp Cash account.
Water Front Activities
(Canoes, Kayaks, Water Blob and Beach Volleyball)
Meet us on the water to explore Allaso Ranch Lake! Boats are available for check-out on
the North side of the Worship Center. The Blob and Beach Volleyball are located near
the base of the Zip Line tower just across the dam.
Frisbee Golf
Compete individually in a fun game of Frisbee Golf! Course maps and Frisbees are
available for check-out at the Camp Store and Swim Center Cabana.
Nature Trails
Delight in the natural beauty of East Texas! There are several different trails around
Allaso Ranch for you to explore.
Water Park and Swim Center
It will take all week to experience all the water park has to offer, including a swimming
pool, lazy river, water slides, splash pool and water volleyball. Swim skills are required
and will be held on the first day of camp.

CAMPER CHORES
Parents, did you think we were going to take your children away for a
week and not let them do their chores? One of the focuses with Allaso
Ranch is to equip campers in the area of responsibility. Each camper
will have tasks they must complete each day in order for camp to
function the way it’s intended. These will be simple tasks that campers
will share all week. Some of the tasks will include:

the dining tables at each meal.
Bathroom Clean-Up: help with cleaning the bathroom.
Interior and Exterior Sweeping: indoor floors and outdoor

areas.
Trash Duty and Lost-and-Found: empty trash in bunk room
and bathroom and replace trash bags; place all unclaimed
clothing, shoes and hats in Lost-and-Found box.

on the camp grounds or in the cabins.
Obey your trainer and all camp rules and guidelines! For example:
get out of bed when your trainer asks, follow directions, no talking
after lights out, etc.
Never, ever go anywhere by yourself. You must stay in groups of at
least three, and for safety reasons, your trainer must be with you
always.
Never leave camp or the designated boundaries for any reason.
Encourage others and be respectful (i.e. no calling others names,
making fun, physical harm, fits of rage, etc.).

Absolutely no one is allowed out of his or her assigned cabin after
curfew.

No rough play is allowed. You are financially responsible for any
damage to the camp or cabins.

Due to the sandy terrain, shoes are not allowed in the cabins, they
will be left outside the cabin door. Please bring house shoes or flip
flops for use inside the cabins.

Be on time and participate in all activities.
Do not throw or push anyone into the pool, lazy river or lake.
You may swim in the pool, lazy river, or lake only when there are
lifeguards on duty. A swim test is required before entering the water
for the first time. Swim skills will be given on the first day of camp.
If you are participating in horseback riding, it is required that you
wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
All activities are included in the price of camp. The only exception is
the paintball. One game of paintball is included in registration. An
ammunition coupon is required for additional games and available for
purchase at the Camp Store and Swim Center Cabana. Ammunition is
$5 for 200 rounds, which you can deduct from your Camp Cash
account. Please wear old clothes that can get paint on them. Goggles,
markers and equipment will be provided (please do not bring your
own equipment). 2-3rd graders will fire paintball guns at still targets.

FAQ’S
What are the cabins like?
Allaso Ranch’s air-conditioned cabins are broken into three separate
villages. Each village consists of one main cabin and two smaller
cabins. Each village also comes with its own central fire pit with
seating. Main cabins have four bunkrooms and each bunkroom has
12 camper beds and a counselor’s room. The smaller cabins have
two bunkrooms, also with 12 camper beds in each room and a
counselor’s room. We will assign rooms and cabins based on
gender, grade, church campus, and roommate requests. Each group
will have two counselors. If you wish to request a roommate, please
login to your account at https://register.allasoranch.com. Roommate
requests are considered, but are not guaranteed.
Can I call or visit my child while he or she is at camp?
Many years of camp experience has shown that having parents visit
at camp can be very disruptive for campers, so we ask that you only
visit during drop-off and pick-up. An emergency contact number will
be provided in the event you need to contact your child for an
emergency situation. Additionally, our policy is that children do not
call home during their time at camp.
Do I really have to label everything with my child’s name?
Yes, especially if you would like it to come home! Group living can
be a bit chaotic - labeled clothing and personal belongings help a
LOT! Each year we bring home many lost and found items - most of
which eventually gets donated to a local charity. Please label
EVERYTHING!

What is the lost and found policy?
There is a lost and found table set up during check-out on Saturday.
Please check this section for any misplaced items before you leave camp.
After each Kids Camp term, lost and found items will be brought back
to the Grapevine campus. There will be an area upstairs outside of the
FC Kids office where parents and campers may check lost and found for
any missing items. Items will be held for two weeks following the last
camp term. After that time, they will be donated to charity.
Do campers participate in all activities?
The structure of the Kids Camp schedule allows campers an opportunity
to participate in all camp activities if they so choose. We encourage
each camper to try new adventures and participate in all activities.
When should I receive my child’s departure packet?
Camper departure packets will be mailed no later than one week prior
to the start of your child’s camp term. In this packet you will receive an
informative letter detailing any final instructions before arriving at
camp, a map with directions to Allaso Ranch and your child’s luggage
tags.
What should I do if I didn’t receive my child’s departure packet?
In addition to mailing your child’s camp departure packet, we will send
you an email with pertinent information regarding your child’s camp
assignment and arrival time. A limited number of luggage tags will be
available during camper check-in to ensure that your child’s luggage is
delivered to the correct location.

doesn’t like what’s on the menu, we also provide a salad and fruit
bar, full of nutritious selections. Each day, campers will receive a
healthy afternoon snack. Additionally, the Camp Store offers
healthy choices such as juices, smoothies, granola bars, etc. for
purchase.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Campers' health is a high priority for us at Allaso Ranch. We try our
best to accommodate basic food allergies and other dietary needs
such as vegetarian or lactose intolerance. In addition, we are a
peanut-free facility. We request that campers with special dietary
needs indicate this during the registration process or contact us in
advance to discuss accommodating their needs. In some cases we ask
that a family help plan a menu for their child and provide particular
food items so that our food service staff can continue to do their job
efficiently and effectively.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our Cancellation policy is as follows:
 The $200 deposit is non-refundable once camper is enrolled in
camp.
 Cancellations made 14 days prior to the start of the scheduled
camp term will result in forfeiture of the camp deposit and full
tuition fees.
 A no-show for a scheduled camp term will result in forfeiture of
the full camp deposit and tuition fees.

KID FAITH & BAPTISM
During Kids Camp, we will present the message
of accepting Jesus Christ as their personal
Savior to the children. If your child expresses
an interest in wanting to know more about
how to accept Jesus as his or her Savior, you
will receive a letter to give you more
information about that decision.
We offer the Kid Faith class, where children, Kindergarteners – 5th grade,
discover, learn, and explore the basics of Christianity. Through creative,
age-appropriate, interactive teaching, kids will:
 discover what it means to be a Christian
 understand the importance of a relationship with God
 learn how to become a Christian
 realize the opportunity to make that decision
 establish how to build spiritual muscle
 recognize the importance of developing their relationship
with Christ
Each child will participate in an interactive time with their parent to make
sure they understand the material and any decisions they made as well as
to answer questions. Because these basics are so important for kids to
understand, Kid Faith is a required class for children before they are
baptized at Fellowship Church.

Kids will always remember this special
day as they join God’s team with
friends and family by their side
cheering them on.
At this special event we go all out for the kids with balloons, age
appropriate music, and the opportunity to be baptized by their favorite
Children's Church pastor. Each child getting baptized will receive a God's
team t-shirt and a photograph to help them remember the special day.


FC KIDS WEEKENDS
Each weekend your children can be a part of an exciting and
active environment filled with songs, games and lovable
characters that teach Godly values at an age-appropriate
level. Our weekend services meet at the same time as adult
services, and are designed for all children from Pre-K - 5th
Grade. So while you are experiencing the creative, lifechanging worship of Fellowship Church, your children are
experiencing it as well.
Children enjoy an action–packed service that incorporates large group atmosphere with
relationship building, team competition and small group application activities. During
the large group portion of the service, the children are taught an application–based
Bible story presented in a moving animated format, watch a drama/skit that brings to
life the Main Point for the day, sing songs and play lesson–oriented games. All of this
occurs in an action–packed hour that’s sure to have your kids excited to return the next
week!

VOLUNTEERING IN FC KIDS
Weekend Opportunities
Children’s Worship - FC Kids Elementary volunteers make good kids
into great leaders by teaching them to lead and succeed through Biblical
values in a fun, energetic and creative environment every weekend. FC
Kids includes everything from worship songs, interaction with fun
characters and creative Bible stories, to small groups where relationships
are formed and God’s Word is reinforced for everyday life. Volunteers
are equipped with all the materials they need to be successful in leading
children in large and small groups.
Media - Media volunteers work closely with the Room Pastor to
provide technical support during Children’s Worship through sound,
video, lighting and graphics. Media volunteers are detail-oriented,
remaining focused on the technical aspect of the service in a fun,
creative environment.
FC Kids First Impressions Team - Volunteers greet new families, enter
information into the computer and escort families to the appropriate
drop off locations for their children, including walking the parents all
the way to the Worship Center for service. The First Impressions Team
members are the “first face” of FC Kids and help welcome visiting
families by answering general questions about Fellowship and by
connecting through conversation. This team also supports the FC Kids
staff located in the Information Kiosk.
Power Up - Power Up is an exciting leadership class for Kindergarten –
5th grade children who are attending two services while their parents
are serving. Volunteers participate and lead a group of children in
games, crafts, snack time and small group
time to help them learn valuable lessons
from the life of Christ.
