ASSISTIVE LISTENING SYSTEM
For meetings held in the Council Chambers, the Town of Richmond Hill
offers an assistive listening system. Should you require the use of this
system, please advise the Office of the Clerk in advance by sending an e-mail to
clerks@richmondhill.ca or by speaking with Clerk’s Office staff before the start
of the meeting.

ACCESSIBILITY PUBLIC MEETINGS
Metrolinx is inviting you to participate in our 2014 series of Accessibility Public
Meetings across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, to hear from you
about the accessibility of GO Transit, PRESTO, UP Express, and Rapid Transit
services and projects.
Metrolinx values the input we receive through a variety of channels from
community members, partners and stakeholders to help us identify changes
that improve the accessibility of our services.
At each meeting, participants will have an opportunity to:
• learn about current accessibility activities and developments over the
past year at Metrolinx and its operating divisions and business units (GO
Transit, PRESTO, UP Express, Rapid Transit projects);
• discuss and provide input to our accessibility initiatives through round
table sessions; and
• interact directly with Metrolinx staff involved with accessibility projects.
The meetings will take place from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the following

MCCONAGHY CENTRE CHOIR CHRISTMAS CONCERT
Enjoy an afternoon of wonderful entertainment by the
McConaghy Choir, conducted by Richard Heinzle. This truly
magical concert is open to all ages. Light refreshments will
be served, with desserts sponsored by Delmanor Elgin

SHEEP STRINGS CAFÉ – THE KNITTING SOCIAL CLUB
Attention all avid knitters: pack up your knitting projects, ideas and sense
of humor and enjoy the evening with others who share the same craft. A
great opportunity to trade patterns, share ideas or just socialize with new
friends. A facilitator is on hand to offer assistance with your project. Coffee
and Tea provided.

CITIZEN COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT PROCESS
The Mayor and Members of Richmond Hill Council are now accepting
applications for its committees and boards for the 2014 – 2018 term of
office and invite you to volunteer your time and experience to participate.
To be eligible you must be a Richmond Hill resident and/or a property
owner, a Canadian citizen, 18 years of age or older, and not employed by
the municipality or local board.
OPEN HOUSE
Please join us for an information session to be held on Thursday,
November 20, 2014 regarding the Town’s Citizen Committee
appointment process. The Open House will be held in at the Town’s
Municipal Offices between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. in Committee Room
2, 225 East Beaver Creek Road, Richmond Hill. The Open House will
provide members of the public with an opportunity to ask questions of
staff and former Committee Chairs and learn about the role of citizen
members and the issues considered by each Committee or Board.
Application forms are available at the Town of Richmond Hill, Clerk’s
Office, and on the Town’s website at www.richmondhill.ca. and are due
by Friday, November 28, 2014. Information regarding the mandate and
meeting times of each committee is also available on our website.
