Confidence and Demand Drives 2014!
There was a strong start to 2014 with buyer interest but the lowest number of new listings in more than 11 years.
The traditional increase in March sales resulted from sensible price expectations to meet the market and demand with
$1M+ homes accounting for 35 per cent of total residential sales.

The market showed buoyancy through April and May with auction being the preferred method to go to market as 80%
of properties sold within 7 days of auction.
The onset of winter had its traditional impact on sales numbers and new property listings. However, prices continued
to edge up during June.
The market fell into a ‘wait and see’ mode during the run up to the elections, with the number of sales in the month
falling. This delayed pre-Christmas trading season will see high activity before the end of the year!
2015 is likely to be another exciting year as demand exceeds supply and investor confidence is stronger.
