The ReTree
The ReTree was inspired by
the concept of Reduce, Reuse,

to utilize previously used materials. Members
of Ashe Schools of Home Education have created
ornaments out of materials that were once something
else. The tree includes the whole rainbow spectrum!

The Sweet Treat of Christmas
Holly Roten has crafted the Sweet Treat of Christmas Tree
using pink, silver and white mesh. The inspiration for the tree
comes from a Southern Christmas Show Tree Decorating Contest.
No sweet treat would be complete without a cherry on top!
•
Stars and Stripes Forever
Stars and Stripes Forever is a military tribute tree decorated by Robin King.
It celebrates the U.S. armed service branches with a large flag banner, stars and
framed insignias of the five military branches, and lotsof red, white and blue. •
The Dancer’s Tree
April’s School of Dance presents The Dancer’s Tree! It represents the children that dance with
April! The ornaments are either handmade or special to the child in some way. Dancing is an art and a way of expressing oneself, and the pink ribbons that wind through the tree remind
everyone to “dance as though no one is watching!”
•
Feliz Navidad from Mexico
The Feliz Navidad Tree pays homage to the people of Mexico with a tree representing their homeland. Handcrafted decorations
include hand-painted tin ornaments and wooden, fabric, and paper ornaments. Symbols of Mexican culture, maracas, mariachi hats, and
poinsettias, along with the colors of the Mexican flag as the garland, complete the tree decorated by Barbara Sears. As in all
countries in which Roman Catholicism is the predominant religion, the crèche or nativity is used prominently in Christmas decorating. •
Top Dog
Ed and Ellie Perzel honor the role dogs play in our lives with a fun tree celebrating working dogs, military dogs, and man’s best friend, our pet!
These four legged creatures that we live with, play with, share our food and beds with, are celebrated in a tree of red and gold. Decorations
include dog chains, tennis ball ornaments, dog collars, dog biscuits, and dog houses. Icicles add a shimmer to the tree!
