for visitors from around the world, Monkey Mia is a
premier natural dolphin sighting area where visitors
can experience the mystical world of wild bottlenose
dolphins.
Located at Dolphin Beach, famous for its kilometres of
secluded crystal blue waters and pristine white-shell
beaches, Monkey Mia has attracted schools of dolphins
to its tranquil shores daily for more than forty years.
Enjoy the warmth of a Mediterranean-style climate
with sunshine and blue skies throughout the year,
complemented by tranquil beaches. Experience one of
the most diverse marine environments, home to a variety
of unique wildlife including turtles and dugongs.
Enjoy getting up close and personal with the dolphins
directly in front of the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, the

Family Studio
Beach View Room:
A touch of luxury awaits you in your Studio Beach View
Room which offers a luxurious, pillow topped king bed,
flat screen TV, and absolute beachfront access right in
front of your door. These modern rooms offer a spacious
layout with private veranda and mini bar facility.
Family Studio:
Our modern Family Studio Rooms are a perfect selfcatering option for families and longer visits. The studio
offers a small kitchenette with electric hob, microwave,
a good range of kitchenware and is also close to resort
amenities such as the outdoor pool and tennis court.
Beach View Room:
Our bright and modern Beach View Rooms are perfect
for couples or friends on a beach break. Rooms are
close to resort amenities such as the shared kitchen,
pool and Monkey Bar. From your veranda or balcony you
can enjoy panoramic views of the Monkey Mia Beach.
Family Garden View Room:
Comprises of two adjoining Garden View Rooms sold
as one unit - a great option for families and includes two
bedrooms; each with queen beds, one single bed and
optional trundle bed, air conditioning, flat screen TV with
complimentary movie channels and tea, coffee and toast
making facilities.
Garden View room:
Located in the tranquil bush gardens, Garden View
Rooms are modern, well equipped and located only a
few minutes from the beach. The Garden View Rooms
are ideal for couples or small families after a relaxing
break close to the beach. A shared kitchen is offered
within the resort for self-catering.
Dolphin Lodge:
Guests may choose from Budget Room Shared Bathroom
(twin or family) with shared ensuite facilities, (maximum
four guests) or Dormitory style accommodation - ideal for
backpackers.
Lodge guests can enjoy all the facilities of the resort plus
fully-equipped camp kitchen, laundry, free barbecues,
discounted meals and drinks from the Monkey Bar.

Things to do
Air - Skippers Aviation has a regular air service from
Perth to Shark Bay Airport. Visit skippers.com.au for
flight schedules. Transfers from Shark Bay Airport to
Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort available (charges apply).
Car/Self Drive - Monkey Mia is 8-10 hours north of
Perth (850km) with an excellent sealed road all the way.

Wedding - Beautiful coastal views make a breathtaking
backdrop for your special day. Still white beaches, a
timber amphitheatre, wooden jetty, picturesque palm
trees, perfect grassed landscapes and with many other
magical places it can help make the ceremony of your
dreams. Enjoy a unique Monkey Mia reception at the
Boughshed Restaurant for cocktail food and a la carte
dining or at the Monkey Bar for a casual smorgasbord
dining and cocktail menus.
With an onsite restaurant, bar and a host of other
facilities, the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort is an ideal
venue and caterer for your next function, be it
corporate or social. Resort weddings can
cater up to 200 people (buffet style) please check with the resort for

Attractions
• Dolphins - Approximately eight dolphins visit Dolphin
Beach each day however there are often more and
the current record stands at 26 dolphins all visiting at
once.
• Dolphin Feeding - Just a few steps from the resort,
you can see the beautiful wild dolphins of Monkey Mia.
With feedings every day from approx. 7.45am – guests
are randomly chosen to assist the ranger to feed the
dolphins.
• Shell Beach - Visit the world’s only beach made
entirely of tiny cockle shells. The shells are the size of
your fingernail and the beach is over 100 kilometres
long.
• Stromatolites - See what earth looked like 3.5 billion
years ago… thought extinct until discovered in Shark
Bay 50 years ago, Stromatolites are the beginners of
life on our planet. The original generators of oxygen,
they created our oxygen atmosphere. They also began
the evolution of life from the water to the land.
• Francois Peron National Park - Untouched natural
vegetation at its best is just inland from Monkey Mia.

• Hamelin Pool - A great historic location. Stop in and
visit the telegraph station museum.
• Black Pearl Farm - Australia’s only accessible Black
Pearl Farm.
• Cape Range National Park - Where spectacular
gorges meet pristine ocean, fringed with deserted
beach.
• Ocean Park Aquarium - An exciting eco-friendly and
interactive aquarium that is located on the pristine
shores of the Marine Park, and enables guests of all
ages to see, touch and learn about many fascinating
marine creatures that are found in this heritage listed
area.

from the resort you can see the beautiful wild dolphins
of Monkey Mia. With feedings every day from approx.

• Camel Ride - Treat yourself to a relaxing tour of
Monkey Mia on some of the gentlest camels you will
meet, led by Monkey Mia’s own camel whisperers.
• Shark Bay Marine Tours - Offer a range of fishing
cruises including fishing charters on board ‘Mac
Attack’. Trophy size snapper, cod, coral trout, mac
tuna are just some of the fish you may catch.
• Shotover Cruises - Experience the vast ocean on the
18 metre catamaran ‘Shotover.’ On different cruises
you can learn about marine life, search for mermaids
(dugongs) or take a romantic sunset sail.
• Aboriginal Cultural Walk - Discover how the local
Malgana people have survived in Gathaagudu
(Aboriginal name for Shark Bay, meaning ‘two waters’)
for thousands of years. You’ll learn the secrets of bush
survival including bush tucker and bush medicine.
• Cape Peron National Park - This marine park is
a must-see destination! Enjoy full day trip with an
experienced guide who will teach you all about the
park wildlife and history (4WD access only).
• Enjoy a leisurely game of tennis, relax in the hot tub or
swim in the pool.
• Hire a kayak or paddle boat and explore the beautiful
waters of Monkey Mia and perhaps see a dolphin,
dugong or manta ray.
• Glass Bottom Boat - explore the ocean floor without
getting wet.
