to earn points for learning Bible verses, which can be used
towards a camp program. If you are interested in participating as a mentor, please include your name and contact
information on the sign-up sheet in the reception area.

Wednesday, December 10; 10 a.m.
Members of the Mason Dixon Chapter PA Motorcycle Safety will be on hand to provide information on motorcycle safety, and being aware of motorcycles on the road. Each year thousands of
motorcyclists lose their lives in the State of PA. This organization is making an effort to ensure
safety through teaching about good driving habits and looking out for riders. Please attend this important presentation. This is not a motorcycle driving class. It is for all motor vehicle drivers!
Christmas Now You Have It… (Now You Don’t)
Thursday, December 11, 10 a.m.
This month we will have a special “Now You Have It.” We are asking members to bring a
wrapped, $2 gift, something related to Christmas. The gifts are equally divided throughout a table.
Each player is then randomly assigned a group of numbered cards. The game host will randomly
draw numbers, one at a time. When your number is called, pick a gift. Eventually, when all gifts
are claimed, players begin to steal from one another. When a player’s final number is called, they
make a final selection, and no one can steal this from him/her. Everyone walks away a winner!
COOKIES, COOKIES, COOKIES
Tuesday, December 16, 10 a.m.
Everyone should bring two dozen of your favorite Christmas cookies and a copy of the recipe. We
will taste test and exchange recipes, and everyone will go home with a variety of cookies and new
recipes. Members who bring cookies, will be the first to choose cookies to take home.
Christmas Cookie Baking
Monday, December 15, 10:30 a.m.
We are looking for members to donate prepared cookie dough that we can bake on this date, package and deliver to our Meals on Wheels customers. We need to bake approximately 20 dozen.
Please consider donating a batch or two to help brighten the day of our elderly homebound. Donations will be needed by 10:00 a.m. on the 15th. Please sign-up on the sheet in the reception area so
we know how many donations to expect.

We are looking for several volunteers to participate in an intergenerational activity on this date
with our 5th and 6th grade students. The students will be teaching their math lesson to our
members in order to become more comfortable with their knowledge and reinforce their math
skills. Don’t worry, you will not be asked to share your math skills, just listen as they teach
you their skills!

Please invite your friends to this program. Along with our entertainment and pictures with
Santa, we will also be giving away door prizes.

Windy Hill Adopting a Family for the Holidays
Windy Hill has adopted a family from the Spring Grove Intermediate School for the holiday.
The family has five children ranging in ages from 9-16. There are four girls. The school district indicated that they would prefer gift cards. We are asking members for donations of gift
cards from various merchants in the area, or for monetary donations to purchase gift cards.
Please give all donations to Nancy.
Merry Christmas to our Members!
We would like to take this opportunity to wish each one of you a very
Merry Christmas. It is a pleasure to work with everyone throughout
the year. We wish you and your families an enjoyable holiday and
happy and healthy New Year!
Windy Hill Staff & Board of Directors
Thank you to our volunteers!
Congratulations to Andy Hartmann, winner of last month’s $20 gift card. Don’t
forget to put your name on the board when you come in each day to sign up for
a job. Fill out one slip per day to indicate your volunteer service. At the Council
Meeting each month we pull one lucky winner to win a $20 gift card. We have
many volunteers who donate many hours of their time to keep Windy Hill up
and running.
If you would like to nominate an outstanding volunteer, please fill out a nomination slip and return it to the front desk.

Newsletter sponsorship opportunities are available for 2015. We prepare
and copy over 350 newsletters each month. There are many costs involved
including set-up, paper and copier toner. In order to defray the costs of
the newsletter, we are asking members to sponsor it each month. Cost of
sponsorship is $25.00. A sign-up sheet is available for 2015 sponsorships
