PROVEN TO PERFORM
K AU F FM A N S EEDS’ main interest is in making sure all of our customers
get the best quality seed for their needs. Whether it is selecting field crops
or cover crops. We are constantly looking for the newest products in the
market place that will allow customers the best chance for making a profit.
Kauffman Seeds, Inc. - Haven, KS
It isn’t only about the highest yield, but how much profit you make per acre. We want to make sure every
customer has a good feeling about what they are doing with seed purchased here. We are here to serve and help
answer your questions regardless of how trivial they may be. Either email us or for a more personal touch give us
a call. We would be glad to help you with your questions or problems.
Kauffman Seeds was started in 1965 by Edward Kauffman as an Alfalfa seed cleaning business. In 1972 Jerry and
Lois Wyse started taking over the business from Lois’s dad. At that time certified wheat was added to the business.
In the middle eighties saw the introduction of Soybeans both in production and processing. Seed wheat, alfalfa, and
soybeans were the mainstay of the operation. In 1995, Midland Genetics was formed as several seed companies
joined forces to launch a breeding program to get ready for the introduction of Roundup Ready Soybeans. Corn,
Grain Sorghum, and Forages were added to the selling lines all under the Midland Genetics brand name. In 2005
Tom Clayman and Dustin Miller purchased Kauffman Seeds from Jerry and Lois Wyse. The current ownership has
maintained the business as it was and has added cover crops to facilitate more of our customers’ needs.

Genuity® VT Double PRO®
RIB Complete® Corn Blend
Genuity® VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend is a blend of 95% B.t. seed and 5% nonB.t. seed. You get all the benefits of Genuity® VT Double PRO® Corn Blend, plus the convenience
of 5% non-B.t. seed, interspersed in every bag. Genuity® VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn
Blend provides the broadest spectrum of above ground insect protection, two modes of action
against corn earworm, and 5% non-B.t seed built right in, the lowest in the Corn-Growing Area. It
also contains the first double-stacked trait with dual modes of action for above ground insects and
maximum protection against corn earworm.
PR DG RIB
Genuity® DroughtGard® Hybrid with
VT Double Pro® RIB Complete® Corn Blend
Genuity® DroughtGard® Hybrids with VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend
contain the first double-stacked trait with dual modes of action for above ground insects
and maximum protection against corn earworm. Superior genetics along with innovative
drought-tolerant trait technology helps DroughtGard® Hybrids withstand drought
conditions for a better chance of maximizing kernels per ear and overall yield potential.
PRW RIB
Genuity® VT Triple PRO®
RIB Complete® Corn Blend
Genuity® VT Triple PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend offers farmers dual modes-of-action for
protection against above-ground insects, a single mode-of-action for corn rootworm protection
and herbicide tolerance. The single-bag is a blend of 90% insect-protected and 10% refuge
seed, contains herbicide tolerance, a single mode of action for corn rootworm control and dual
modes of action for above-ground insect protection - including corn earworm, fall armyworm
and European and Southwestern corn borer. It is a great fit in geographies experiencing low to
moderate rootworm pressure.
RR
Roundup Ready® Corn 2 contains in-plant tolerance to Roundup® brand herbicides, enabling
growers to spray Roundup® brands over the top, from planting through the V8 stage or 30inch corn height, with excellent crop safety and no yield reduction. Compared to popular
conventional corn programs, the Roundup Ready® Corn 2 system costs less, while allowing
hybrids to reach their maximum yield potential. While the U.S. regulatory agencies have
given full approval to Roundup Ready® Corn 2 for commerce in the U.S. for marketing and
consumption as food, food ingredients and feed for livestock, certain regulatory approvals are
pending in certain export markets. For more information on these approvals, or for assistance
in locating domestic grain outlets, see the American Seed Trade Association web site (www.
amseed.org) or contact Monsanto directly at 800-768-6387.

LIBERTYLINK PATENT STATEMENT
Soybean seeds containing LibertyLink® are protected under multiple U.S.
patents and may be planted only to produce one (1) commercial crop, and
only after signing a Bayer Grower Technology Agreement. It is illegal to save
or catch soybean seeds containing the LibertyLink trait for use as planting
seed or for transfer to others for use as planting seed.
BENEFITS OF NEW SEED
Convenience
• High quality and high yield potential product vs. bin-run
• Reliable seed supply in many maturities
Tall, consistent yields
Top yielder 2009-2013, all soils
Handles stress, "Stacked" with STS
"Stacked" with STS, good green stem
SOYBEAN PIRACY STATEMENT
Seeds containing the Roundup Ready® trait and the Genuity® Roundup
Ready 2 Yield® trait are protected under numerous U.S. patents. Seed
containing patented traits, such as seed containing the Roundup
Ready® and Roundup Ready 2 Yield® traits, can only be used to
plant a single commercial crop. It is unlawful to save and replant
Roundup Ready® soybeans and Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield®
soybeans. Additional information and limitations on these products
are provided in the Monsanto Technology Stewardship Agreement
and the Monsanto Technology Use Guide. The licensed U.S. patents
for Monsanto technologies can be found at the following webpage:
http://www.monsanto.com/productpatents.
Economics of New Seed vs. Bin-Run
• Average loss of ~10–15% cleanout at harvest for bin-run seed
• Bin-run planting rates are generally 15% higher than new certified seed
Limited Warranty Benefits
• Dealer agronomic support before and after the sale
• Risk management benefits of Roundup Rewards®
(over $600 million in benefits paid)
New Innovations
• Monsanto’s 100% commitment to agriculture
• Our very preliminary estimate is that farmers get a $6 benefit
for each $1 spent on private sector research.
STS® is a tolerance gene that allows aggressive
rates of either Synchrony® XP herbicide or Harmony®
SG herbicide tank mixed with glyphosate in post,
incrop applications. This provides a simple, costeffective weed control option for tough weeds
such as lambsquarters, marestail, morning glory,
ragweeds, yellow nutsedge, and many other
broadleaf or sedge weeds in soybeans. Contact
your local DuPont™ agriculture retailer or local sales
representative for details. Always read and follow all
label directions and precautions for use.

Before opening a bag of seed, be sure to read and understand the stewardship
requirements, including applicable refuge requirements for insect resistance
management, for the biotechnology traits expressed in the seed set forth in the
technology agreement that you sign. By opening and using a bag of seed, you are
reaffirming your obligation to comply with those stewardship requirements.
Respect the Rotation™ is an initiative to elevate the importance and grower adoption of
herbicide diversity to prevent or manage weed resistance. Glyphosate weed resistance
is a dominating threat throughout the United States that affects land values, rental
agreements, conservation tillage and can greatly reduce yields. The use of Integrated
Weed Management practices, such as use of residuals, pre-emergence herbicides and rotation of
crops, traits and herbicides, is critical as no one method is likely to be completely successful.

Agrisure®, Agrisure Artesian®, Agrisure Duracade™, Agrisure Viptera® and E-Z Refuge® are
trademarks of a Syngenta Group Company. Seed products with the LibertyLink® (LL) trait are resistant
to the herbicide glufosinate ammonium, an alternative to glyphosate in corn, and combine highyielding genetics with the powerful, non-selective, postemergent weed control of Liberty® herbicide
for optimum yield and excellent weed control. LibertyLink®, Liberty® and the Water Droplet logo are
registered trademarks of Bayer.
ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW PESTICIDE LABEL DIRECTIONS. Roundup Ready® crops contain
genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup® brand agricultural
herbicides. Roundup® brand agricultural herbicides will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate.

Roundup Ready 2 Technology and Design®, Roundup Ready 2 Yield®, Roundup Ready®, Roundup®, VT
Double PRO® and VT Triple PRO® are trademarks of Monsanto Technology LLC.
IMPORTANT IRM INFORMATION: Genuity® RIB Complete® corn blend products do not require
the planting of a structured refuge except in the Cotton-Growing Area where corn earworm is a
significant pest. See the IRM/Grower Guide for additional information. Always read and follow IRM
requirements.
