The program has become the largest regional series in the Midwest, and perhaps the country with an average of 282 entries per weekend. A season-end awards ceremony was held in Springfield, Illinois to honor those who earned spots on the championship podium, along with another fun and exciting year of karting. The October 11 event was emceed for the first time by the voice of the Route 66 program, Tim Koyen. Everyone was entertained throughout the night, including a photo booth for the attendees to take some candid pictures. Prizes reached into the tens of thousands thanks to the work and effort of series promoter Mark Coats and his series staff, along with the number of series supporters and banquet sponsors, offering up a number of special prizes and awards, including a championship ring and jacket for each class title winner. Ten categories were offered in 2014, from Kid Kart to Leopard Senior, with five challenging and popular facilities in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. In April, the season began at the Concept Haulers Motor Speedway in Norway, Illinois. After taking the month of May off, the South Bend, Indiana course of Michiana Raceway Park hosted the second event of 2014 in June. Briggs & Stratton Raceway Park in Dousman, Wisconsin held the third event in July, with the New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana hosting the August rounds. The finale took place at the home of the Route 66 Sprint Series - the Mid-State Kart Club facility in Springfield, Illinois in September. Plans are underway for the 2015 season, with the same 10-categories to be offered at the five events this coming year. Mid-State Kart Club hosts the season opener on April 10-12. May will once again be open, as the series readies for the first ever trip to the challenging US Air Motorsports Park in Shawano, Wisconsin on June 12-14. Michiana Raceway Park is the third event of 2015, set for July 17-19, with New Castle Motorsports Park scheduled for August 14-16. The 2015 series finale will take place at the Briggs & Stratton Raceway Park on September 1113.
