VOCALISTS & INSTRUMENTALISTS NEEDED St. Paul Parish is blessed with amateur and professional musicians that devote time and talent to the choir. We need to grow our group to remain a strong and vibrant choir. We need and would welcome new voices and instrumentalists. All of us have times when we cannot be at rehearsal or liturgies, so do not let that interfere with your interest in choir at St. Paul. When we commit the time and talent that we have it all comes together. Please consider this ministry. Try it on for the Christmas season. Instrumentalists (including, but not limited to, strings, brass, and woodwinds) are especially sought for Christmas liturgies. To learn more or become involved in the music ministry, please speak to the music director Emily Lapisardi after Mass or email her at elapisardi@dioceseofgreensburg.org. This collection is titled the “Children and Family Services Appeal.” On the coming Christmas Feast, which reminds us of the gift of God's own Son, Jesus Christ given to each of us without question of our merit or eligibility, We ask you to support the “Children and Family Services Appeal” and make your contribution toward changing the future of an individual, a family or a child through the good work of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg. Heroes For HIM † Youth (Grades 6-12) December Youth Ministry Meeting will be at St. Paul Dec. 14– Youth Ministry Meeting 6:00-8:00PM Dec. 21– Youth Ministry Meeting 6:00-8:00PM MARCH FOR LIFE REFLECTION The March for Life is the annual opportunity to peacefully protest the Rowe vs Wade decision that allows abortion to be legal in the United States. Several buses depart from Greensburg; St. Paul Parish, Diocese of Greensburg, Greensburg Central Catholic to name three. An early departure and a long ride, both ways, make it a tiresome trip., but, when you get off the bus in the heart of our nation’s capital and see the vast number of like-minded people in the grassy mall in front of the Capital building it becomes invigorating. Literally millions of people gathered to protest legalized abortion! There is music, speakers, and testimonials from women and men who have experienced the sorrow that comes along after the decision to abort an unborn child. Protestors are there representing both sides of the issues, often carrying creative banners that state their view. Media is there, but sadly only stations like EWTN carry the event. They will broadcast it a few times. The biggest thing to me was the sea of people at the March. There is this huge throng of people who clamor for change, yet many of our Senators and Representatives do not recognize the call for change. You will see a few Pro-Life Congressmen and women speak out during the rally but they are still the minority. Consider coming with us this year. The first time you may come because I invite you, but in the future you will come because it is right! Rally, march and speak out for unborn children! THANKS FROM FAMILIES HELPING FAMILIES Many, many thanks to all those who shopped for a gift or gave a monetary donation toward our parish Advent project. Thanks to you 22 Children will have a brighter Christmas. Each family was also given a small grocery gift card . You are a blessing to them and to our parish! NEW YEAR’S EVE DINNER DANCE The combined parishes of Saint Paul and Saint Bruno Churches will be having their 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2014. The cost is $25 per person and includes dinner, dessert, beer, snacks and a champagne toast at midnight. Also available is a separate program for school-aged children, for $10 per child. This will include movies, games, food and fun! This event is open to the public! Please call the parish offices at 724-836-0690 (St. Bruno) or 724-834-6880 (St. Paul) before December 20 to order your tickets. HELP NEEDED … with Funerals.
