Our thanks to Mario and Annita for all their work, for “filling-in” when there were no volunteers for wagon master(s), and most of all for a truly great year of “Camping”. For those of you who still “camp”, if you didn’t make most of the 16 scheduled events (14 after two were cancelled), you missed a lot of fun and great sights and most of all the comradery of good friends. Here’s looking forward to good ‘camping” next year. tED 2 The Rally Schedule for 2015 will be in the January Roadrunner THANKS TO LINDA MALSEED VICE PRESIDENT TO BE dgibbs@fmca.com ... Then we’ll stay in INDIO a few days at the Elks club. You could be our guest! But if you go that far, you owe to yourself to at least stop by Quartzite and see some of the 125,000 campers spread out from here to there…most park for free and all go to THE BIG EVENT and everyone tries to get into the monster tent… at the same time! We have bought many things there----- some we needed-----Maybe??? Then on to Yuma about 100 miles or so south. We’ll stay there a month or longer but your stay will depend on your schedule. For us the month go’s by really fast and we’re usually surprised and disappointed when it’s time to head for home. As of now we have three Rigs going for at least part of it…Call Jo or me with questions etc 293-1640…leave a message. However, if you are so inclined, there will be a repeat of the last few years (6 or 8 or more) this January. There will be an outing to the “Western Area Rally” (Indio, California), and on to Quartzite for a day or two or ???, and then down to Yuma for a month or so of sandals and shorts and warm weather!!! We do enjoy the Western Rally. I personally think it beats all the others “hand and foot” and I guess that means by a lot. There are always great vendors, friendly people, a parade put on by the different chapters, shows and many new and “previously enjoyed” motor homes for sale…Just ask me about THAT sometime. Plenty of shopping at the many craft deals in the ‘Palms”---Desert, Springs, and the like…much golf and fantastic weather. January 7-11, contact Dick Gibbs, 661-203-9180, CHRISTMAS PARTY 2014 Bud and Jan deserve our kudos for setting up our party at the Mountain View Club on the Base. Everything was superb including party room with first class arrangements, and Christmas decorations to say nothing of the fine meal served with a very good wine for those who wished to have wine with their meal and we especially want to give our thanks for the tour, even if unexpected, of the Louisiana gate and the fine drive to the Wyoming gate…What an unexpected surprise especially to Bud and Jan…OH WELL. Most everybody was there so I won’t go into great detail but must mention the entertainment… the fun gift exchange. It started with gifts for all the Officers and then gifts for all the Wagon Masters. Those were arranged by Allene Gross with help from “just” Bob of course. What a neat surprise and a token of appreciation for those who do all the “down in the trenches” work for us. One of the great traditions of our club. Thanks again to Bob and Allene. Then the fun began with the “get your own gift from under the Christmas tree or more likely, steal one you already spotted that someone is trying to conceal under their table”. Really good fun and frankly, it would not have been much of a Christmas party without the gift exchange… Well, at least I enjoyed the fun of it all and didn’t spot any throw away gifts. We were sorry that Mario Harris missed the party (appointment at the VA) and that Louise Milhollin had Jury 3 duty and couldn’t be there but were happy that Annita and Chuck made it. Mary and Steve Engdahl were not able to be there because Steve was recovering from a surgery. Will tell you more later. As for who was there, you will have to check out the pictures (complements of Robert Malseed) and see for yourself. Special thanks from all the ladies to Sandy Uhl for her neat and thoughtful gift. Sandy made colorful pocket pouches to hold tissues for all the ladies. And Linda Malseed did it again…Chocolate candy with nuts for every one…mine was gone BEFORE dinner. Thanks Linda. If I missed anything, sorry. Now on to the pictures. Dues are $10 per person It will not only get your information in the directory, it will save Robert a lot of time changing things, it will save me a lot of time sending changes but even more important, it will insure that every other Chaparral who did pay their dues on time will not have to spend time later on updating their directory (or maybe like me, not spending time adding late names). And because of our bylaws, no dues = no newsletter…which may be a +. tED For renewals, fill in only last name, FMCA# and information that has changed Last Name_________________________________________________________FMCA # (REQUIRED) _________________________________ First Names (Husband)___________________________________ (Wife)_______________________________________ Nicknames (Husband)____________________________________ (Wife)_______________________________________ Occupation (Husband*) __________________________________ (Wife*) _______________________________________ *IF RETIRED, INDICATE RETIRED and OCCUPATION BEFORE RETIREMENT. st Home Phone_______________________ nd Cell Phone_______________________ Address 1 Line__________________________________________________________________________ 2 Line__________________________________________________________________________ e-mail (1)_________________________________________ e-mail (2)_________________________________Work Phone______________________ COACH MAKE _______________________________________ PARKING LENGTH ____________________ st DUES ARE $10.00 PER PERSON PER YEAR Jan. through Dec.
