We Walk for the Cures Event Donates Over $7,100 to
Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center!
Thanks to the hard
work and dedication of
many Sun City resident
volunteers and staff, the
second year of “We Walk for the Cures” was
a tremendous success, donating $7,211.39
to the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center. Last
year’s maiden voyage of this event donated
$5,000 to the Center, so this year’s event
showed record numbers in participation
The Anthem Parkside Board of
Directors and Management Team
will present a community update
at the Parkside Town Hall Meeting
Tuesday, December 2 at the
Community Center. All residents are
encouraged to attend.

and funds raised. With 271 total walkers and
almost 300 commemmorative shirts, this
years’ event was a sea of purple, pink and
bright green as they walked the 3 mile route!
This year’s 50/50 raffle winner, Parkside
resident, Cliff Doherty, took home a
whopping $822.50 and many more
participants took home awesome raffle prizes
for participating in the famous pink duck
race!

We will be playing Guess
Who, which involves having
people bring childhood
photos of themselves.
Players then take turns
guessing to which person
in the group the photo belongs. Residents
should bring a photo any time during
the week for display during Wine & Dine.
