Requirements: Be a U.S. citizen; be between the ages of 17 and 26; have a high school cum. GPA of at least 2.50; have a high school diploma or equivalent; score minimum of 920 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required writing test scores); meet physical standards; agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard). These scholarships, among the highest honors given to Wake Forest students, are renewable through four years, subject to satisfactory academic, extracurricular, and civic performance. Most scholarships (including the Reynolds, Carswell, Stamps, and Gordon scholarships) do not require a separate merit-based scholarship application. Instead, students need only submit a complete application for undergraduate admissions by December 1. Although an interview is not required in order to be considered for a merit-based scholarships, 87% of our scholarship recipients had completed the interview process as part of the application to Wake Forest.
