FRIEND of TWGGA CONSUMER MEMBERSHIP Individual Couple $35 $50 Mission Statement The mission of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association is to promote the production and appreciation of premium grapes and fine wines from Texas, and to represent a unified state industry with common marketing, governmental, and educational goals. As with any organization, the hardest item to market to members is the “What’s in it for me” – the benefits. The Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association reaches out to members asking them what would make the association a better partner to them and help them be successful. The most important responses received are: (1) We help connect members to each other and create better business partnerships. The TWGGA website classified advertisements are very popular with members. The Annual Conference and Trade Show bring together buyers and suppliers, finding better, more efficient ways to conduct business. (2) We promote TWGGA members’ businesses through the Association website and the TX Wine Passport Mobile App – their locations, their events. (3) We connect our members to those educators and researchers who can assist them in all facets of their business. The specialists from Texas A&M, AgriLife Research and Extension Services, Texas Tech, and Grayson College are valuable resources to our members. (4) We promote our industry to State and National leaders striving to keep the compliance issues at a minimum level and the support at a maximum level. (5) We provide continuing education opportunities throughout the state and calendar year. (6) We are the “Face” of the Texas wine and grape industry in both Austin and Washington, DC. TWGGA representatives are present during the Texas Legislative Session and at key industry events in Washington, DC. (7) We negotiate discounts for members with companies who offer professional services (Constant Contact, Credit Card processing).
