Lee County Extension class focuses on soil
Fort Myers, FL, Dec. 15, 2014 — Join Lee County Extension Horticulture Agent Stephen Brown for a
class about what is or isn’t in soils and how to go from poor unproductive soils to healthy, bountiful soils.
Participants will take a closer look at Southwest Florida native and changed soils, and they will learn how
to recognize hunger signs in plants.
When: 9:30-11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 9.
Where: City of Cape Coral Rotary Park, 5505 Rose Garden Road, Cape Coral, FL 33914
Cost: Free
UF/IFAS Lee County Extension agents offer educational services through a three-way cooperative
arrangement between the Board of County Commissioners, the University of Florida and the U.S.
Department of Agriculture. Local extension agents are off-campus faculty members of the University of
Florida.
