Mueller Silo Storage Tanks
Model “SV” Silos
Horizontal Agitation
Mueller’s patented, USDA-accepted, horizontal agitator is cleaned in
place and complies with 3A Sanitary Standard 22 when installed in our
silo-type storage tanks for milk and milk products. The agitator and seal
assembly do not require removal from the tank for cleaning as is
required for other horizontal agitators currently available. The newly
designed agitator is satisfactory for use in plants that are accepted for
the USDA Dairy Grading Branch Survey Program.
This design is also capable of fully separating all sealed surfaces for
periodic inspection without the need to remove the agitator shaft. For
cleaning, simply open the manway door, install the CIP door and
attachment assembly, turn on the agitator, and start your CIP cycle.
There’s no need to loosen or remove the shaft, thus eliminating the
confined space entry procedure.

Mueller Cook ‘N Cool
Cook ‘N Cool
Mueller Temp-Plate heat transfer surface maximizes heat transfer efficiency, heating, or
cooling in the Mueller Cook ’N Cool unit. It can be used for cooking with steam and
cooling with water in the same unit or cooling only with glycol, ammonia, or Freon®.
Double-action agitation scrapes the heat transfer surface to prevent burn-on and a highspeed, counter-rotating turbine provides shear action for blending.

Mueller Whey Crystallizers
Whey Crystallizers
Since the beginning of cheesemaking, the remaining by-product (whey) has been of little
value to cheesemakers. With Mueller whey crystallizer tanks, whey can be transformed
into useful products and profits. Whey crystallizers are designed to offer the maximum
efficiency in cooling and continuous agitation — the two requirements for effective
crystallization. Mueller Temp-Plate heat transfer surface cools whey to 40°F while solids
are maintained in suspension and continuously agitated, forming crystals useful in many
industries. Two inches of insulation on sidewalls and bottom of crystallizers also aid in
the cooling process. Each Mueller crystallizer tank is equipped with a self-centering
manway door, projectile well with 5" dial thermometer, recording thermometer well,
outlet connection, and CIP and vent arrangement.

Mueller Stainless Steel Wine Barrels
Mueller’s stainless steel wine barrels give winemakers the best of both worlds. You can age wines without adding oak flavor
to the wine and use whatever ratio of oak-to-steel barrel you want, without sacrificing
complexity. Furthermore, you can age smaller lots of different yeasts or even
different vineyards in both steel and oak barrels and blend them as you see fit.
When you add Mueller’s stainless steel barrels to your winemaking program, you
have the flexibility to create wines that were not possible before. If you want to
make a white wine without exposing it to oak and have the ability to micro-manage
how your wine develops, a Mueller stainless steel wine barrel is a
perfect fit.
The 75-gallon barrel has one 2" tri-clamp ferrule connection, is available
with fixed ends, and will stack on your existing barrel racks.
