thanks for passing along a great place to have our monthly meetings. By the way, saw a new Broken Yolk going up in The Shops at

Best regards, Cal Westra, 2015 President
Let me say that I am honored to be voted in and allowed to
represent you as your President. I promise I will do my best toward
the goal of making 2015 fun and growing the Palomar Mountain
Early V8 Club with new members. Yes, I do have ideas on how we
should expand, capture, assimilate and gather new members that
have the same desires of the current membership. A desire to
share Early Ford V8 stories and keeping our flathead Ford’s runA back roads driving tour to tour to see a Car Colning for years to come. I will present them to the board in the

Editor of a wonderful newsletter. The Valve Chatter had heritage
and heart when I received it. And now with the direction of Margaret
Connelly it will be better and better each month. The one thing that
Margaret will not see is the yellow lined handwritten presidential
message as before. Sorry Rudy.

Call For Trustee Nominations
The time is fast approaching when the
annual election of Trustees for the 2015-2018
term must be conducted. This election requires
adherence to a strict schedule so that new trustees will be able to assume their responsibilities in
May, 2015. In this election cycle, we will need to
fill four positions in order to maintain our full complement of 12 trustees.
The honor of serving as a Foundation
Trustee is truly rewarding. It’s an experience that
presents every Trustee the opportunity to steer
the future direction of the Early Ford V-8 Foundation and Museum and help its mission of
“preserving 1932-1953 Ford V-8 history for future
generations”.
Bylaws of the Early Ford V-8 Foundation
state its Trustees serve a three-year term. That
term starts in May and will run from May, 2015 to
May, 2018. Trustees are eligible to serve two consecutive terms. Trustees will be required to participate in a minimum of two Board meetings per
calendar year typically as one or more telephone
conference calls, and one face-to-face/ or optional
phone meeting held in Auburn during May. In
keeping with modern times, E-Mail is also how
trustees keep in touch.
Candidates for a trusteeship are expected to submit a short statement which includes
their desire to commit to the mission of preserving
early Ford history, their experience in the hobby,
work in any other not-for profit organization, and
their vision of future work they would like to see
done to benefit the Early Ford V-8 Foundation.
Their statement should be received by February
1, 2015 so it may be published in the March/April
edition of the Early Ford V-8 FOUNDATION
NEWS along with a ballot.
Ballots are due back by April 15 so the
winning candidates can be part of the May, 2015
Trustee Meeting. Results of the trustee election
will be announced in the May/June issue of the
FOUNDATION NEWS.
If you are interested in running for a
position on the board, or if you know of someone who would make a great candidate please
contact either Trustee Emeritus Jerry Windle
or Trustee Emeritus Bill Tindall as soon as
possible at the contact information below.
