1. BUSHCARE GROUP GOALS
The Carrington Rd Casuarina Forest Bushcare Group’s goal is to maintain
planted areas and rehabilitate ground and mid story by removing weed
species. The priority goals for the group are as follows:
1. Assist native regeneration
2. Reduce weed infestation particularly introduced vine species
3. Revegetate the site following weed control to assist with erosion
control and create structural diversity
4. Maintain, improve and enhance existing native fauna habitat.
2. CARRINGTON RD CASUARINA FOREST BUSHCARE GROUP ACTIVITIES TABLE (to be in conjunction with attached site map)
NOTE: Priority should be rated as H = High (within 12 months); M = Medium (1-3 years); L = Low
GROUP ACTION
Revegetate north of Carrington Rd with endemic native plant
species to replace weeds along small drainage gully.
Extend revegetation on the Eastern bank to the South, plant
with low growing species. Ensuring access is available for
pedestrians and machinery.
To eliminate the Moth Vine infestation in existing established
planting (Carrington road East).
To eliminate the Lonicera japonica Japanese honeysuckle in
the south east corner of the Swamp Oak Forest (Carrington
road West).
