La Comedia is turning 40 and we would love for you to celebrate
with us in 2015! We are proud to have provided the region with "A Taste of Broadway"
since 1975, and it is our hope to continue for
at least another forty years!
There have been many talented performers
on our stage over the years - many of whom
have gone onto very successful Broadway
careers. We have staged numerous highly
acclaimed and technically challenging productions, and even world premieres.
I have been a part of La Comedia for thirtyone years, since starting as a server back in 1984. Eventually, I
became the director of service and then the general manager. I have
worked for all three previous owners, including my brother David,
who purchased the theatre in 1995. Since January 2013, I have
been the owner and producer and am proud to continue my family's
involvement in the long, wonderful history of La Comedia.
As we begin our next forty years, we are excited to announce the
addition of our new "Lunch & Learn" Children's Theatre. We feel
this will be the perfect way to introduce your children to their first
"Taste of Broadway." We will also be holding the first ever "Camp
Comedia" Musical Theatre Camp for children wanting to explore
drama, music, and dance.
Your dining experience begins...
by being served our house signature salad, crowned with our
own papaya chutney dressing. Once invited to our buffet, you
will find chef-carved meats, our famous Norwegian cod deep
fried in a premium beer batter, a variety of pastas and vegetables, including our famous sweet potato souffle, freshly baked
breads, and some dishes to represent the “flavor” of the current
production.
To top it all off, our pastry chef creates a feature dessert specifically for each show. We also offer a scrumptious Sunday
brunch menu that’s sure to satisfy the heartiest appetite!
Coffee, tea, or milk are included with your dinner.
La Comedia’s mixologists, working from our full-service bar,
have designed an exciting beverage guide. Select from a wide
variety of unique and original recipes as well as your traditional favorites including many without alcohol and ice cream
drinks...and don’t forget, our specialty show drink comes with
a souvenir glass!
I am very proud of La Comedia's 40 year history and grateful to
have been here for most of it. I am also excited about the future and
look forward to providing you with "A Taste of Broadway" for
many more years to come.

Somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna, North
Carolina, way down on Highway 57, the ‘Pump
Boys’ sell high octane and the ‘Dinettes’ serve up
plenty of pie and sass at the Double Cupp Diner next
door.
Together they perform a rousing, down-home mix of
country western, rock 'n' roll, and blues in this charming tale of friendship, romance, and heartbreak.
Packed with hummable, hilarious songs like "Be
Good Or Be Gone," "Tips," and "The Night Dolly
Parton Was Almost Mine," Pump Boys and Dinettes
is a foot-stomping good time.

Set on a tropical island during World War II, South
Pacific tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the
realities of war and their own prejudices. Considered
by many to be the finest musical ever written, the
score’s songs include such classics as "Some Enchanted
Evening," "I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My
Hair," "Younger Than Springtime," "Bali Ha’i,"
"There Is Nothin’ Like A Dame," "This Nearly Was
Mine" and "A Wonderful Guy."
The original Broadway production won ten Tony
Awards, including Best Musical and Best Score. The
2008 Broadway revival won seven Tonys including
Best Musical Revival. Don't miss this all time classic
appearing on our stage for the first time since 1997.

They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and
spooky! The Addams Family features an original
story and it's every father's nightmare. Wednesday
Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has
grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart
young man from a respectable family. And if that
weren't upsetting enough, she confides in her
father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now,
Gomez must do something he's never done before
- keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.
Everything will change for the whole family on
the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's
"normal" boyfriend and his parents.

* Due to popular demand, we have added Friday matinees for this
production. There will not be Wednesday evening performances.
The year is 1979, the day of the church's Centennial
Celebration, and past parishioners have gathered to
share hotdish, bars and stories from the last 100
years. As our favorite Church Basement Ladies work
in the kitchen, these shared memories burst into life
through a series of flashbacks.
Travel back to 1897 and meet Vivian's grandmother,
one of the founding members of the church; see
Karin as a newlywed, cautiously navigating her way
throughout the politics of the kitchen; and be there in
1944 when Mavis first barreled her way through the
swinging door.
As they time-jump through a Century, these ladies
manage to serve up a rib-tickling panorama of the
changes in the kitchen, without spilling a drop of
their egg coffee!
