DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, blind or deaf dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. HEIGHT DIVISION The following lists the required jump height for Preferred, and minimum height for regular agility classes. Judges only reserve the right to measure dogs at the trial who do not possess an official height card. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to enter their dog in the correct class. The Trial Secretary cannot make any changes (except for move-ups as noted) after the closing date of the trial. Clear run scores from the following International Sweepstakes Classes (ISC) at the ISC jump heights of 14-, 18- and 26-inches may be used to fulfill the minimum requirements to enter the World Team Tryouts of 8 Standard/8 Jumpers With Weaves clear runs at a minimum rate of speed (YPS). In addition, ISC Combined Class winners at these events will receive an invitation to the World Team Tryouts. A clear run consists of a run without time or course faults. Minimum YPS requirements are waived for these scores, as long as the dog is under the course time set by the judge for that class. Two ISC Jumpers and two ISC Standard scores may be used to fulfill the minimum requirements. CRATING INFORMATION The trial committees will be working very hard to make the most space available to the agility competitors. However, due to the available crating space, they will be enforcing the following agility area crating area rules. Please work with your fellow competitors to compact space as much as possible. If we all work together, we’ll have enough space for everybody’s dogs. - No Mats will be allowed in the agility crating areas. - No un-stackable soft crates - No X-Pens or play huts. - No chairs allowed in the crating area. - No un-entered dogs allowed in the agility area. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS Conditional, unsigned, incomplete, illegible, telephone or telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on official AKC form, or photocopies of AKC forms, without the agreement attached are not acceptable. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date, or in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by the Show Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, acts of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Confirmation of entry and schedule of judging time will be sent to the address on the official AKC entry form after the closing date. If an exhibitor has not received a copy of the schedule at least seven days prior to the show, contact the Trial Secretary. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee be asked to leave the Trial site. In such case, no refund or any fees paid will be made. The Dog Fanciers Association of Oregon and Tualatin Kennel Club assume No responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or spectators, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assumes no responsibility for injury to any child not under the control of his or her parents or guardians. The safety of dogs is of primary concern. By entering the Trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. A dog can be excused at any time if, in the opinion of the Judge, the dog is out of control or unsafe in its negotiation of the equipment. MOVE-UPS: Move-ups after entries close must be submitted to the Trial Secretary in writing by 6:00 PM PST on Monday h Jan. 12 , 2015. Include dog’s call name, registration number, owner’s name, class you are moving from, and class you are moving to. Send via mail, or email to r2agility@frontier.com. No phone move ups accepted. Day-to-day move-ups will be accepted at the trial Friday-Sunday. Move-ups must be submitted in writing no later than 30 minutes after the trial ends. REFUNDS: A refund of the entry fee, less $15/day, will be given for any bitch that comes into season, provided that written notification from a veterinarian is provided to the Trial Secretary by Monday, Jan. 12th, 2015. Bitches in season are not allowed in the agility area. We want to retain these facilities for future events. Remember, all complaints regarding conduct prejudicial to the sport will be dealt with in accordance with AKC rules by the Show Committee. This includes dogs relieving themselves on the shrubbery outside the show buildings. The Show Site will be available to exhibitors at 4:00 pm Tuesday, January 13, 2015 (or when building is ready). Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best in Show judging on Sunday January 18, 2015. The agility area will NOT be available for setup until AFTER the rings are set up and the flooring is down. (This is planned for Wed. 1/15). THERE SHALL BE NO DRILLING NOR INTENSIVE OR CORRECTIVE TRAINING OF DOGS ON THE SHOW GROUNDS OR PREMISES. The agility area is available via a side door in Hall E starting at 6:30 AM on trial days (Thursday thru Sunday). ALL DOGS shall be kept on leash except when in the obedience or agility rings. All crating must be WITHIN taped and posted areas. Exercise pens will NOT be allowed. Due to space restriction, the show giving clubs reserve the right to require exhibitors to reduce their crating space. PARENTS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN. NO FLEXI LEADS, HALTI-TYPE COLLARS OR PINCH COLLARS IN THE BUILDING. The show-giving clubs are not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show. GENERAL INFORMATION ♦ All parking is a privilege extended by the show-giving clubs & the Portland Exposition Center. They reserve the right to withdraw this privilege from any person or persons who uses abusive language, argues with parking personnel or attempts to circumvent the rules & regulations. All parking is at your own risk. The show-giving clubs & the EXPO Center assume no responsibility or liability for damages or loss to any vehicle or its cargo. ♦ When Expo Parking Lot is full, exhibitors may enter to unload only but then must go park at PIR. All parking at Expo must be in a lined space or you will be ticketed/towed. All parking in private commercial lots across North Force Ave WILL result in immediate towing! ♦ Dogs are NOT ALLOWED in any landscaped area at the EXPO Center or the lawn & shrubs in the complex across North Force Ave or around the sidewalk area on the north side of the Expo Center. Sunday, January 18, 2015, the grooming area will open at 6:00 am & close one hour following Best in Show. HALLS D & E: Main Exhibit Halls will be open at 6:00 am and will close each day after Best in Show or completion of specialty/special events. THROUGHOUT THE BUILDINGS: All chairs, crates and accessories must be placed within designated areas and must not block aisles, door exits or fire extinguishers. Flexi Leads will not be allowed in the buildings. EXHIBIT HALLS (D & E): No grooming. No x-pens. Your crates may be placed in designated areas during the judging of your breed, but must be removed upon completion of your breed judging. ALL GROOMING AREAS: Rugs and/or matting will not be allowed. Paper and/or plastic must be used under all pens. Please bring your own paper or plastic. Shavings will be offered for sale in the D Hall for use on top of paper or plastic. Clean Drydeck will be allowed under ex-pens. Bales of shavings will be offered for sale in the grooming area for $10 per bale. CRATES: Where possible, crates must be stacked and crates with dogs left in the building overnight clearly marked with name and phone number of person to contact in case of an emergency. RESERVED GROOMING AREA: See Reserved Grooming Form for fee, instructions and information. Reservations for Reserved Grooming will be handled by the Jack Onofrio Dog Shows, LLC staff. GROOMING AREA FOR DAY USE ONLY: An area will be provided for DAY USE ONLY! ELECTRIC OUTLETS are adequately spaced. No extension cords across aisles and no electric strips or heaters.
