INTRODUCTION
Dear colleagues and friends,
We are very pleased to announce that in 2015, the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) will
organise the FIP annual congress in collaboration with the Bundesvereinigung Deutscher
Apothekerverbände (ABDA) and its German partners.
The congress will take place from 29 September to 3 October 2015 in the Congress Center
Düsseldorf, Germany.
Translating science into practice is a major responsibility of the profession of pharmacy. This must be
done in an ethical, unbiased manner, based firmly on the best available evidence, and used together
with a human touch to communicate effectively with the patient. Competence to practice will
increasingly require education in the ability to evaluate information critically, the reinforcement of
appropriate attitudes, values and communication skills, and appreciation of the importance of interprofessional collaboration. The symposia at this Congress will explore all of these facets of
professional excellence.
With about 21,000 pharmacies and a population of more than 80 million, Germany has a pharmacy
density of one pharmacy per 3,900 inhabitants. In fact, the total number of pharmacies in Germany
has slightly moved down over the last years. In Germany, only pharmacists may operate a pharmacy.
This principle stresses the personal responsibility and liability of self-employed pharmacists in the
industry, service and healthcare sector. In its ruling of 19 May 2009, the European Court of Justice
confirmed that the ban on third-party ownership in Germany is an acceptable and effective tool of
customer protection.
Expopharm is Europe's biggest and most important pharmaceutical trade fair. Five hundred national
and international exhibitors use an exhibition area oñf about 40,000 square metres to contact their
most important partners: pharmacists and stakeholders coming from more than 120 countries.
We hope that Düsseldorf will follow Bangkok Congress 2014 in being the most important meeting
place for our global network of pharmacists. We look forward to seeing you there.

ABOUT FIP DÜSSELDORF 2015
29 September — 3 October, 2015
Following the successful FIP annual congress in Bangkok in 2014, FIP Düsseldorf promises to be the
most significant global event in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in 2015.
The FIP Düsseldorf 2015 congress will consist of three main components:
1. FIP Düsseldorf 2015 Congress
The FIP congress will offer five days of sessions, symposia, workshops, discussions and world class
social events that will bring together over 3,000 international participants from diverse areas of
pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical sciences. The congress will take place at the Congress Centre
Düsseldorf (CCD).
The theme of the congress is: “Better practice - science based, evidence driven”.
2. Expopharm
In 2015, the FIP exhibition will be an integral component of Expopharm, the most important
pharmaceutical trade fair in Europe. With more than 27,000 trade visitors and over 500 exhibitors
from 42 countries in 2013, it will be the most important platform of the year for all decision-makers
in the pharmaceutical market.
The Deutsche Apothekertag (DAT), which takes place at the same time, is the central political event
of the year for German pharmacists. At this main gathering of German pharmacists, representatives
from health care insurance companies and associations, politicians and pharmacists themselves will
set the course for the future of their market.
3. Deans’ Forum and Pharmacy Technicians Symposium
As in previous years, the Deans’ forum and Pharmacy Technicians Symposium will be held before the
congress. The first event, the Deans’ Forum, specifically focuses on education and development
among schools of pharmacy worldwide. The Pharmacy Technicians Symposium focuses on
technicians, two days are dedicated to technicians and their development. If you are interested or
would like to target these groups, please let us know, we are happy to assist you.
FIP AND THE BUNDESVEREINIGUNG DEUTSCHER
APOTHEKERVERBÄNDE (ABDA)
As a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the ABDA is delighted to co-host
the Düsseldorf 2015 congress, in partnership with a wide range of pharmacy organisations in
Germany representing the various areas of the profession.
The ABDA and its 34 member organisations welcome you all to Düsseldorf, the bustling Rhine
metropolis in the heart of Europe. Pharmacists from Germany look forward to meeting their
counterparts from around the world at the FIP congress!
Congress Venue
The Congress Center Düsseldorf (CCD) sets itself apart as an international conference venue ideally
located in Düsseldorf, capital of the state North Rhine-Westphalia and one of Germany's most
important business and scientific hubs. Set on the banks of the Rhine and linked to Messe Düsseldorf
Exhibition Centre, only three kilometres from Germany's third largest airport and five kilometres
from the old town, the CCD with its adjacent exhibition halls 1 and 3 provides a flexible room
concept for up to 15,000 visitors. Around 2,000 events take place each year in the CCD. They include
a large number of major national and international congresses as well as high-profile corporate
events and high-attendance exhibitions. Accommodation is available at more than 20,000 three- to
five-star hotel rooms in Düsseldorf and the surrounding region offer the necessary accommodation.
Audience Profile
The FIP congress is the only truly global event for pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, and all
partners involved in organising the congress expect to attract over 3,000 international practising
pharmacists and scientists.
The audience of FIP 2015 and associated events will also include significant numbers of pharmacists
from Germany (from community, hospital, industry and academia), pharmacy students and young
pharmacists, as well as leaders from the profession and various sectors across the world.
This brochure describes what you can expect to see at the FIP Düsseldorf 2015 congress in terms of
target audience and promoting your organisation. The figures and information are all obtained from

There are numerous possibilities for sponsoring and partnering with the Düsseldorf 2015 Congress.
In addition to the many areas of sponsorship listed in the following pages, we are happy to facilitate
tailored packages.
Sponsors will be listed in the final congress programme and on the congress website.
Congress Bags
€15,000.00 (incl. production)
Exclusive sponsorship of the congress bag with the sponsor name discreetly displayed on each bag.
This sponsorship also includes one piece of promotional literature in the congress bag.
Private Breakfast Meetings
up to €25,000.00
The congress will offer the opportunity for sponsoring a number of private meetings and or
breakfasts that will take place either at the congress venue, the Congress Centre Düsseldorf or at
an adjoining venue.
These private meetings should not interfere with the congress programme and all such meetings are
organised by the sponsor in consultation with the congress organiser.
The price includes the following benefits:

Welcome Reception

The venue for the Welcome Reception will be announced in 2015.
As a sponsor you will have your signage/logos prominently displayed throughout TBD during the reception
and will be mentioned in the final programme.
WiFi in the Congress Center
€10,000.00
WiFi is a key requisite for exhibitors and delegates alike. By sponsoring WiFi in the congress Center,
your company logo will be featured on the log-in screen.
Your name will be included in the final programme.
FIP Council Dinner
€10,000.00
The Council dinner will take place in one of Düsseldorf's most beautiful and historic venues.
The sponsor will have its logo displayed on the menus and invitation, and is invited to give a short
speech at the dinner.
Signage in the Congress venue, The CCD (digital)
€5,000.00
The signage at the venue is available exclusively to a single sponsor, or multiple sponsors. (Price on
request.)
The sponsor(s) logo(s) will be placed on the signage screens throughout the Convention Centre
Düsseldorf (CCD).
Lanyards

The sponsor name and logo will be printed on the lanyards (costs include manufacturing).
FIP Düsseldorf 2015 Mobile App
€15,000.00
Our first congress app was launched at the FIP Centennial in Amsterdam with great success. This
year this easy-to-use app will include a number of additional features, including advertising with
links to sponsor(s) websites. This special app can be downloaded by all participants and will be
promoted heavily.
This opportunity is available exclusively to a single sponsor, or multiple sponsors. (Price on request.)
Coffee & Tea Break
€12,500.00
Tea & coffee breaks will be served in the foyer at CCD. Sponsor recognition will be by signage as well
as in the Final Programme.
This is open on an exclusive basis to a single sponsor or can be packaged on a per diem basis at a rate
of €4,500.00 per day.
Poster Area in Exhibition and/or congress centre foyers

The sponsor name will be mentioned in the Final Programme and on a dedicated sign above the
poster area(s).
Speaker Service Area (signage board)

The sponsor name will be displayed outside the speaker presentation preparation room.
Student & Staff Shirts

Pharmacy students will work as assistants to delegates throughout the congress and the sponsor’s
name /logo printed on the sleeve of their shirts will ensure high visibility thought the CCD.
Notepads & Pens

The sponsor name and logo will be printed on the notepads and pens to be included in the congress
bag (costs include manufacturing).
Opening Ceremony
€5,000.00
The Opening ceremony will include a wonderful customised entertainment piece. The best of
German Folk music, song and dance will intersperse the formalities.
The sponsor will be acknowledged during the course of the Opening Ceremony and will be
mentioned in the final programme
Closing Dinner Entertainment
€5,000.00
The closing dinner will provide a number of entertainment opportunities: during the meal, after
dinner dancing/after party. The sponsor will be acknowledged during the course of the Closing

Insert in Congress Bag

One promotional leaflet, approved by the Organising Committee, will be included in the congress
bags of all participants.
‘Pharmacy in Germany’ event
€5,000.00
This showcase of various aspects of pharmacy practice and developments in Germany will be of
interest to both international colleagues as well as pharmacists in Germany. The session will be held
on the morning of the opening day. This event will be organised by the German local host
committee, which is chaired by the ABDA.
Fun Run
€5,000.00
A 5km fun run will take place through the streets of Düsseldorf for more energetic delegates!
Participants will be provided with a T-shirt which will include the sponsor logo, as well as bottled
water / soft drinks.
Pharmacy Visits
Visits to pharmacy settings and facilities in the host country are always of interest to international
colleagues. These will also be organised by the local host committee and sponsorship may be
required for transport, refreshments etc.

In order for a sponsorship to be valid, a completed booking form together with the appropriate

Sponsorship opportunities are offered on a first come, first served basis according to the date that
the booking form is received.
Cancellations:
All cancellations must be made in writing to the Manager Sponsorship & Exhibition FIP Düsseldorf
2015.

On or after 1st February, 2015 – no refund will be available.
Payment:
On receipt of the sponsorship booking form, a confirmation and invoice will be sent.
Full payment is due within 30 days of the invoice.
Payment will be accepted in Euro (€) only.
Payment can be made by bank wire transfer to the account details on the invoice.
Force Majeure:
In the event of force majeure, the congress dates may be changed or the congress may be cancelled.
In the latter event, the disposable funds after payment of expenses will be shared between sponsors
in proportion to their payments without the possibility of recourse against the Organisers.
