Dear Friends
Dear Friends
The AFC has spared no effort in making the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015 the best ever in
the tournament’s prestigious history.
The Organising Committee for the AFC Asian Cup 2015 is proud to produce this guide specifically
designed to provide spectators with ticketing related information that will help the fans to get hold of
their seats at the magnificent Australian stadiums next year during the competition.
ASIAN FOOTBALL CONFEDERATION
One of the most important aspects of any tournament of this magnitude is the smooth facilitation of
tickets. Fans, whether coming from overseas or from here in Australia, can be assured that organisers
have risen to the challenge of ensuring supporters can get tickets to the matches of their choice in the
most efficient way possible.
With supporters travelling from all parts of the globe and an ever-increasing local fan base keen to
share in the passion and excitement of the Asian Cup, a comprehensive and informative booklet has
been produced to guide fans in understanding the ticketing process.
I hope all the fans that come to this football extravaganza enjoy what promises to be some thrilling
and entertaining matches and that they also take the opportunity to experience the culture and
hospitality of the five beautiful host cities.
ORGANISING COMMITTEE
There will be 32 matches amongst the top teams of Asia and the 23-day football festival will
definitely achieve another milestone in Asian football.
Our concerns are not only the teams, officials and our sponsors but we are equally accountable and
aware of the Asian football fans who are growing with each proceeding year.
This guide is our attempt to educate and help our travelling and domestic fans with regards to
ticketing for the tournament.

LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE
Dear Friends
AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015 will be the largest football event ever held in this country and is a great
chance for Australia to play host to our Asian friends and neighbours.
For local football fans and supporters of major events this will be a chance to see some of the world’s
best football right here in our backyard.
Our five beautiful host cities – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Newcastle – will provide
a great backdrop for the 16 teams to play 32 matches in 23 days. We know the AFC Asian Cup in
Australia will be a true festival of football and a spectacle on and off the pitch.
This Ticketing Guide sets out key ticketing information including ticket prices, on sale dates, where to
purchase tickets and give you a great overview of the tournament.
The Local Organising Committee has worked hard to ensure the tickets are affordable and accessible
for families to encourage big crowds to cheer on both the Socceroos and the participating teams.
I look forward to seeing you at AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015.

OF HISTORY...
The Asian Football Confederation was established in 1954 and two years later seven of the
12 founding members competed for the inaugural AFC Asian Cup in Hong Kong.
Since Korea Republic took home that first Asian Cup in 1956, Asia’s top national teams have come
together every four years in a fantastic feast of top-notch football.
The AFC Asian Cup has grown into the continent’s biggest football event and stands proudly alongside
any top level competition around the globe in terms of excitement, entertainment and organisation.

Ki, who plays for English Premier League club
Sunderland on loan from Swansea City, was sent
to Brisbane by his father in 2001 to learn English
and start his football career. He moved back to
Korea Republic giants FC Seoul before making his
mark in 2010 with Scotland’s Celtic.
Rogic has been tipped as the next big thing in
Australian football since making his A-League
debut with the Central Coast Mariners in 2012.
Commonly known as Gucci, the stylish forward
has turned heads since making his national team
debut in 2012 in Iran’s 1–0 World Cup qualifier
victory against Korea Republic. He notched up
six goals in six consecutive internationals as Iran
topped their qualifying group for the 2014 World
Cup and ensured a berth at the 2015 Asian Cup.
Honda was the mainstay in Japan’s AFC Asian
Cup triumph in 2011 in Qatar, where he was named
player of the tournament after Japan defeated
Australia 1-0 in the final.
His elegant attacking skills soon attracted
international attention, and he transferred to
Scotland’s Celtic a year later. He returned to
the A-League on loan to Melbourne Victory as
preparations ramped up for the 2014 World Cup.
Ki made a big impact at the AFC Asian Cup Qatar
2011 and scored from the penalty spot in Korea
Republic’s Semi Final against eventual champions
Japan. Later that year he was named Korea
Republic Player of the Year.
Photos courtesy of WSG
Rogic has represented the Futsalroos and the Olyroos
and made his Socceroos debut as a substitute in a
2-1 friendly victory over Korea Republic.
24
He paved the way for the increasing number of
Japanese players plying their trade in Europe,
starting in Holland then signing a four-year deal
with CSKA Moscow before moving to Italian
giants Milan early in 2014.
He played for the Netherlands at youth level,
and has played his club football in Holland,
Belgium and now England at Championship team
Charlton Athletic.
25
He has won more than 50 caps for Japan and
made a powerful showing at the 2010 World Cup
in South Africa as Japan reached the round of 16.
