ESL Parent Conversation Workshops
Parent Conversation Workshops Dear Parents of ELLs: Please join the ESL Department for a series of parent workshops. The workshops’ will provide an opportunity for parents with limited English ability an opportunity to converse with other adults in a safe and supportive environment. Parkland ESL teachers will guide the conversation and will answer questions about the session’s topic. Each workshop will be held from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in Room 110 at the Troxell Building. The Troxell Building is located at 2219 N. Cedar Crest Blvd. with parking in the rear of the building. For more information, contact your child’s ESL teacher or Marge Evans at 610-351-5547. Barb will call the presenters the day before the workshops with a count. Barb will post signs on the outside doors at Troxell to direct parents to Room 110. Presenters will submit the evening’s sign-in sheet to Marge after each session. Payment will be submitted after each sign-in sheet is received. Payment for each presenter is at the current rate of $42/hour for two hours (one hour for prep and one hour for the workshop).
