President’s Message
The December meeting was held at Norm’s Tire,
and Joy proved to be a wonderful hostess who provided not only coffee and cookies, but helpful suggestions as well! Gotta get that girl in a Pontiac!
She even ended the meeting with some door prizes, which added a little sparkle to our Christmas
meeting! A heartfelt thanks goes out to Norm’s
Tire for their hospitality.
We again discussed ideas regarding hosting the POCI Annual Convention for
2017. There seems to be some hesitation on hosting due to our numbers, but it was
brought up that perhaps we can co-host with a Wisconsin Club. Paul Bergstrom
will be reaching out to the other Club to see if they might have some interest in
this.
We are also asking that Club members re-submit their holiday ideas for the
20-SIXTEEN Holiday Party in January or February of 2015 so we can be more
proactive on booking what we want rather than waiting until the last minute--as
the older I get, the quicker those minutes go by!
That being said, I look forward to seeing you at the 20-Fifteen Holiday Party/
slash/January Club Meeting at Jimmy’s in Vadnais Heights on the 31st of January
for a night of fellowship and good cheer (remember to bring a guy/gal gift if you
wish to participate in the exchange, $15-$20 value),
Until then, I wish you and yours a wonderful and safe holiday season!!
Tony Miller, Tomahawk Chief

December
Meeting Minutes
12/16/14
We met at Norm’s Tires with 18 mem-
ber’s present. The meeting was called
to order at 7:02. Joy apologized for not
being able to host us in November.Last
month’s minutes were read and accepted. Jim Notch gave a treasurer’s report
and it was accepted. Barbara Felker
had forwarded some mail to Jim, from
Toys for Tots.We discussed our charitable giving and it was decided that we
would continue what we had done last
year. We will donate to The Salvation
Army, Toys for Tots and the Rosetown
Legion.
New Business - Convention
Paul has some information on Chula
Vista resort in the Wisconsin Dells.
They have a beautiful resort there and
it could make for a nice location for a
future convention. Maybe we could
team up with the Wisconsin Chapter
for the 2017/2018 POCI Convention?
Todd suggested maybe we could get
together at one of the drag strips next
summer.
It must be winter as Nick had boots on!
Jim, Hal, Jamie, and Melissa won
prize’s that Norm’s Tires provided.
Steve “Mudbird” Weese
Tomahawk Chapter Secretary
Old Business - Our members had fun at
Tony’s birthday party.
Banquet - Of the three suggestions we
had last month only Bennett’s was still
available for the dates we had selected.
Little Venetian was also suggested as a
possible alternate. It was suggested that
we should find a place with a private
room for us and try to have our banquet
at the same location every year.
High Performance Pontiac Magazine POCI will be sending out a membership mailer to all those who had subscribed in order to recruit new members.
