Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Interviews residents to obtain information concerning social history, treatment and other pertinent information.

Plans and administers therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy to assist
residents in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.

Observes residents to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
•
Reviews results of tests given by psychologists to evaluate residents’ needs.
•
Changes method and degree of therapy when indicated by resident reactions/needs.

Discusses progress toward goals with residents such as medication regiment, family relationships, educational
programs, social development, discharge plans or other behavioral problems.

Consults with psychologist/psychiatrist or other specialists concerning treatment plans and amends plans as required.

Refers resident to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.

Serves as “on-call” or “on-duty” supervisor as assigned (LPCs, LCSWs)
•
Provides weekend therapeutic coverage as assigned. Completes all Treatment Plan Updates within their required
time-frames.

Develops and implements appropriate discharge planning with resident, family, and placing agency.

Family Service Worker (FSW)
Children’s Place, Inc.
Position Description:
Children’s Place, Inc., a non-profit in Aiken, SC, currently has three Family Service Worker Positions open. Family Services
Home Visitor position is full-time 40 hours a week and offers benefits after a probationary period. The FSW position works
with families referred to a community- based Child and Family Development Center by the Department of Social Services for
parenting support to prevent child abuse and neglect or working with behavior health services for families whose children are
demonstrating behavior problems. The FSW must work with families to develop treatment plans, make referrals for services,
and record interviews. This position requires that the person sets their own schedule and meets deadlines that require some
working outside of traditional hours.

Counselor Position
Eagle Ranch, a Christian children’s home in Northeast Georgia, has a May 2015 opening for a Counselor to work in our girls’
program.
Our counselors provide oversight and management of two homes including supervision and training of staff teams, crisis
intervention, implementation of treatment programs and counseling. You will work with up to 12 girls and their families as they
progress through the program in identifying goals, evaluating progress, and deciding appropriate time for completion of the
