N EW F AIRFIELD P ARKS & R ECREATION PROGRAMS 4 SUMMER DAY CAMP Children from grades K-8th (based on the grade your child will be entering in Fall 2015) will have a great time at the New Fairfield Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camp. The 2015 N.F.P.R. Day Camp will tentatively run for 5 weeks: June 29th through July 31st. Our day camp hours will be from 8:30 a.m.—3:30 p.m. For a nominal fee, we will be offering extended child care from 7:30 a.m.—8:30 a.m. and/or 3:30 p.m.—5:00 p.m. Weekly field trips are included in the camp fee. TENTATIVE DAY CAMP TRIPS ARE: NF Town Park, Splashdown Park, Brownstone Park Quassy Amusement Park, and Lake Compounce Space is limited and registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Weekly wilderness adventures after school at Hidden Valley Nature Preserve will include naturalist skills such as shelter building, animal tracking, etc. From adventure to nature, all activities allow for experiential learning about ourselves and a rewarding appreciation for the world around us. * Please send a note to school each day your child attends. The sponsors of the contest are HRRA, All American Waste, Winters Brothers Waste Systems, Union Savings Bank, New Tech, Paint Care, Wheelabrator Technologies, Welsh Sanitation, MXI, and The Regional Recycling Task Force. Registration available online at www.parksandrec.newfairfield.org at the Parks and Recreation office, located on the lower level of Town Hall, or by mail. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon. A $10.00 surcharge will be added to each non-resident registration. Registrations may be canceled up to seven days prior to a program’s starting date by written request only. All refunds are subject to a $10.00 minimum or 25% administrative fee, whichever is greater. Refund Policy: It is requested that careful consideration be given prior to registering for any program! No refunds will be given once a program has begun except for illness documented by a physician. For medical emergencies, refunds will be prorated for sessions attended. Absolutely no refunds will be given for any used portion of a program or after completion of a program. Refunds will be given if a recreation program is canceled by the Parks and Recreation Department due to a lack of registration. There are no refunds for any trip unless the trip is canceled by the Parks and Recreation Department. Please bring your concern to the Parks and Recreation Commission monthly meeting.
