Majestic Circle and City Railway Station on the
Kempegowda International Airport road. Its beautiful
35-acre campus comprises the main academic
building, library, administrative office, ladies' and boys'
hostels, faculty and staff quarters, etc. Reva ITM has
very good infrastructure, well equipped laboratories,
campus network and dedicated and qualified faculty.
Reva ITM is the perfect place for the students to pursue
their studies. A resource-rich library and a browsing
centre help students in enhancing their knowledge.
The institute offers thorough placement and training. It
has forged MOUs with reputed industries to nurtures
extensive research culture.
THE DEPARTMENT
The department of CSE was established in the year
2006 with an intake of undergraduate 60 students.
Keeping in view the vision of the institute, the
department of CSE is untiringly working to achieve
excellence in various aspects, such as students’
performance, effective teacher-student relationship,
imparting quality education, motivating faculty and
students towards research and nurturing good human
qualities. The Department also offers full-time M.Tech
programs in the areas of CSE and CNE and part-time
M.Tech program in CNE.
The department has a sophisticated center-ofexcellence and high-quality human resources that
facilitate research leading to PhD. The department has
well-qualified, dedicated and expert faculty. The
department has well-established laboratories in the
areas of Cloud Computing, Systems Programming,
Computer Networking, Microprocessors and Electronic
Circuits.
THE WORKSHOP
MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a multi-paradigm
numerical computing environment and fourthgeneration programming language for numerical
computation, visualization, and programming. It is a
tool used globally by over a million scientists and
engineers to analyze data, develop algorithms, and
create models and applications. The language, tools,
and built-in math functions enable the exploration of
multiple approaches and reaching to a solution faster
than with spreadsheets or traditional programming
languages. MATLAB is used for a range of applications,
including signal processing and communications,
image and video processing, control systems, test and
measurement,
computational
finance,
and
computational biology.
SCOPE and OBJECTIVES
This hands-on experience oriented workshop provides
an introduction to the MATLAB interface. The
workshop is intended for students with basic
programming experience, and is designed to assist
them to learn programming with MATLAB.
Highly
motivated researchers/faculty shall present case
studies of application of MATLAB and demonstrate
their recent research work. Course content will cover
basic introduction to MATLAB, use of various
commands, logical operators, functions, arrays, loops
etc., printing, plotting, visualization using MATLAB,
data input/output in various format, generating
executable files and stand-alone applications, building
graphical user interface (GUI) etc. The workshop
includes ample practice exercises, exhaustive sample
programs and self-test assignments which reinforce
the concepts taught in lecture sessions. At the end of
the workshop, students should be able to use MATLAB
in their course work and research, and be ready to
advance their programming skills on their own.
On successful completion of the workshop, each
participant will be provided with lecture slides, course
material and literature on various aspects of MATLAB.
