Enrolment Instructions:
This Course Enrolment Guide 2015 provides you with information on when and where
the units available for study in this program(s) will be offered in 2015.
1. Refer to your program map for information on unit availability.
2. Refer to Administration & Enrolment on the ACU website

also provides detailed information on managing your studies.

Requirements to Complete Award
For information on the duration of your course, and the requirements to complete your
award, please refer to the course rules for your program. Course rules are available in
the ACU Handbook on the ACU website (http://www.acu.edu.au/142401).
 Select the handbook for the year you commenced the course:
 Select the Faculty which offers the course;
 Select Courses by Faculty for the correct course rules.

**Students must enrol in both Semester 1 and 2 units at the start of the academic year**
Requests to Overload
The maximum number of units you may enrol in per semester is four. Students who wish to
undertake additional units must consult with the Course Coordinator to obtain approval.
Pre-requisites and Co-requisites
Some requisite units are shown in parenthesis in the Course Enrolment Guides. These units
must be successfully completed before the chosen units.
Repeat Subjects
If you failed any units in 2014, you must repeat them in 2015. Enrolment in these units takes
priority over other units.

Application for Credit/Recognition of Prior Learning^
If a student has undertaken prior university study they may apply for credit for a unit or more of

Consultation with Academic Staff
Academic staff consultation and contact details are provided on page 2 of this guide. E-mail
correspondence to academic staff must include: student name, student ID number contact
phone number and the nature of the enquiry. Academic staff will respond in a timely
manner, however, academic staff will not respond toe e-mails from providers other than
the allocated ACU student e-mail account as this risks the security of the University
server.
Notice for students who wish to exit from a course of study other than that for which they are
enrolled
This course is a dual degree, therefore you cannot exit with a single level award, but you may request a
letter from the Course Coordinator confirming that you have satisfied the requirements for the relevant
single award.
IMPORTANT NOTE – University Core Curriculum Units
**UNCC100 Our World, Community and Vulnerability and
**UNCC300 Understanding Self and Society: Contemporary Perspectives
a) UNCC units are often taught over differing week patterns to allow for student
placements at various times during semester. Students should take special care to
note the week pattern of tutorials when they allocate in Tutorial Direct to ensure that
they are choosing the correct stream for their course
b) Please consult with your Course Coordinator if the following applies to you:

You need to repeat a UNCC unit due to a previous fail grade.

You are unable to complete a UNCC unit during the standard semester it is
offered.

You plan to enrol in an advertised international option specific to the Core.

Any units listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings for any bachelor degree in the Faculty
of Law and Business can be taken as electives, subject to a student having met the
prerequisite requirements.

Attendance – Primarily attendance, either face-to-face or via video
conference, at an ACU campus or another location.
